In recognition of Black History Month, LEAD representative, Morgan Prigmore, sits down with a Midshipmen panel to discuss the experience of being black at the academy and the impacts this has on the fleet. Additionally, we dive into intersectionality and what it means to be a true ally. 

Morgan Prigmore sits down with LT Kristopher Moore and MIDN 1/C Alexa Jacquitte to discuss the importance of understanding gender identity with constantly changing policies surrounding the LGBTQ+ community. Authentic leadership requires an environment where you can be your authentic self. 

Lindsey and Morgan sit down with Major Matt Danielson, a logistics officer and math instructor at USNA, to discuss the dangers of tribalism in the military profession and on the yard. Major Danielson speaks on his time in the Marine Corps and as a midshipmen to highlight the deficiencies of a tribalistic culture.

Lindsey partners with our First Regimental Commander and Naval Academy Women's Network representative, Bray Zimmerman, in an interview with Mr. Colonel Fullwood and Mrs. Colonel Fullwood about their leadership experience navigating some of the challenges women face in the military profession. 

We kick off 2021 with Major select, Captain Nizhonlii Robinson, as she takes us back to the NL110 curriculum to discuss leadership fundamentals such as growth versus fixed mindset, emotional intelligence, and servant leadership. We might just be able to learn more from the plebes than we think.

We sit down with retired Master Chief James Parlier to discuss his experiences as a corpsman in the aftermaths of the Beirut Bombings and as Command Master Chief of the USS Cole during the terrorist attacks in 2000. He dives into the importance of trust and confidence within a command and emphasizes the importance of training.
