There’s a great quote by author Alex Haley:

“In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past and a bridge to our future.”

What does that mean, though?

What I do know is that when we learn the details of our family... their triumphs, their failures, their loves, their losseswe begin to understand something about who we are.

What separates the employees who remain in the same position for years from the people who seem to rise quickly?
