Being a mom of 2 children as they are growing up, there are always never ending of parenting struggles and one main struggle is communication. 

Today, we have Shruti joining us in this podcast. She understands the struggles of parenting. Like many of us, she experienced moments of connection and days when she wasn't her best self, snapping and yelling. This led her to embark on a journey of understanding her child's behavior and her own reactions, seeking ways to communicate mindfully with her little ones.

📖 Shruti's journey took her to the enlightening book "Nonviolent Communication" by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, which transformed her parenting style. Now, she is passionate about teaching parents how to lead with compassion, kindness, respect, and empathy while fostering cooperation without resorting to manipulation or threats.

🌟 Better relationships with our children and everyone else in our life can only be achieved via conscious communication. In order to improve our ability to communicate with our spouse and children, Shruti highlighted the four fundamental pillars.

Parenting is never an easy job. It is even tougher when you are raising children with unique needs. 

Today at Learning Curve, we are going to talk about the world of special needs parenting and exploring the challenges that parents face while raising children with unique needs. 

My special guest for today is Carinne Mossa. She is a mother of 2 children,  one of whom has a rare seizure disorder called Dravet (DRA-VE) Syndrome, as well as global developmental delays and Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

She will present her experience of parenting a child with special needs, as well as the instruments and strategies she's been using during this remarkable journey.

Raising children, where uncertainty prevails over every decision that we make, can feel like an isolated way of life. We're constantly asking ourselves, "Are we doing it right or wrong?"

Sometimes, however, we will encounter many obstacles that need us to be strong enough in order to create a safe environment for ourselves and our children.

I hope this episode encourage all parents of special needs children to embrace their role with strength and resilience.
