300 shows is not an easy thing to accomplish and the Q with Mark Bland has finally taken the leap and made it after 7 years. On this show, Mark is joined by Jason Kull and Producer Bobby as they think about the past years and where they are compared to when they started. But the show hits its normal stride as Mark, Jason and Bobby decide to tackle two specific topics: The first being Trumps amazing 3rd FAKE attack that never existed at all, but his team keeps making them up. The Second being his new found fascination of denouncing the media and challenging the credibility of their profession. Mark see's this more as people calling other peoples opinions they disagree with as fake news. It's not Fake news and the guys explain why. Finally Mark brings up some questions from the fans and listeners and this leads to one of the best endings to a show that we have ever had. One question leads to a discussion about the worst things about Porn....this brings up Bobby's story and review of a movie from when he was younger that levels the crew. Great stuff and you don't wanna miss it.
On this episode of the Q, we return to our podcast format due to an unforseen situation arising at the radio station we were on in St.Louis. Due to this infraction, The Q chose to disengage our relationship with the station and move on with life. Jason Kull is here to discuss Mark's new theory that Donald Trump's decisions seem to be coming from a potential illness. Also Mark directly alludes to the fact that there is tons of video and proof of Trump's inability to read. Shouldn't the president of the US be able to read well? Well seems like half the population in the US doesn't care. Also, the two guys tackle some dilemmas and discuss if there was anyone in history that you could get into an Argument with, who would you like to verbally tangle with? Hitler, the Pope, Nostrodamus...who? Listen to find out who our guys said.
We love callers on the Q. They are what really makes our show special. But sometimes the callers are special themselves. On this episode, we focus on the need for someone to put Trump in a checks and balances type situation. His entire team is going off the rails and making weird and dumb claims that are hurting his brand and Presidency. First up, we discuss Kellyanne Conway and her need to create fake and false massacre's to fodder the Muslim Ban that trump enacted. Kellyanne went on another political show on TV and stated that because of the "Bowling Green Massacre", that's why the ban is needed. Only problem is that It never happened and she completely made it up again. Another Alternative Fact. Then the guys take some callers and they decide to go in blind and see what the fans of the show are thinking. May have been the wrong idea. The callers definitely were the star of this show, so saddle up and take a listen....prepare to be entertained.
Matt Krueger is back and what a show to return for. The President Donald Trump has had a busy first week in office and at the end of it he decided to Ban people from 7 specific Middle Eastern countries that have terrorist ties. But the issue is that he left a few other countries that are also terror based off the list. Why? Well maybe he has economic ties to those countries, or maybe he doesn't feel they are a threat at all. Regardless, the hashtag #MuslimBan seems to be taking the entire world by storm as country after country denounces this US stance. People are taking over airports and we discuss whether this is all justified or not. But first, Kayo Bracey joins the show to discuss hip hop and growing up in North Carolina over the past few years with all the confederate flag talk and now Trump becoming the president. He tells us a little about his upbringing as well as his influences coming from the home of hip hop legend Petey Pablo. All this and much more on the Q!
Well He's the Preident now and with that starts the reign of Donald Trump. And right off the bat, Trump sent new White house Press Secretary Sean Spicer out to let the media know, "We don't like you!" All because the world showed pictures of the small turnout for the inauguration of Trump. Welp, that's kinda life and reality can be tough to swallow sometimes. But it didn't stop there....The next day on Meet the Press, Chuck Todd pushed the issue of why Sean Spicer went out to everyone the previous day and lied about the pictures from a point of spite it seemed like. Kellyanne Conway decided to put the breaks on and stated that Spicer had uttered some "Alternative Facts" which is just another phrase for LYING. So Mark and Jason along with Steph on the board, decided to delve in this week and discuss the Alternative facts. As well as an Alternative Universe we seem to be in now.
Will he keep a single promise he made to the people of the United States? Matt Krueger jumps in and joins Mark, Bobby, Jason and Schep to break down these ideas and promises. The guys tangle it up about whether Obama has created more divisiveness or not during the 8 years that he was President. Matt throws out a laundry list of things against Obama that Mark and the team discuss and bat down in a rapid fire session of political talk. Definitely one of the best discussions we have had on the show. But that's not all. Rob Schamberger from the WWE joins to talk about his early interests in being an artist. Rob explains where and why it came to him and what some of his favorite paintings are. From his time working in KC's indie wrestling scenes to his first WWE opportunity, we discuss it all with him. Finally the listeners sent in some great questions and Mark picks the brains of the crew to find out what the Rarest thing's they own are...and... If there is some unheralded history note that deserves more respect and notoriety than any other.
Well it is the new year of 2017 and the guys on the Q have an amazing show lined up for you. First up is their guest retired prowrestler and amazing artist Dartallion Allen. Also known in wrestling as a Eric Allen, Dartallion joins in the show to fullfil Marks long legacy of bringing some personal buddies on the show and this one fills out the Trifecta! Dart discsusses his earliest influences and how he did some tryout work with Marvel. Plus Mark and Eric go down memory lane to remember exactly when they crossed paths for the first time. From there, Jason Kull and Schep jump in handily for the discussion about Donald Trump and what is going on for this year. Mark has a list of predections he's calling now and many of them seem to have a common theme....listen in to find out what that is. Finally Mark and John have a good ole verbal tug of war regarding Scheps background in politics and when he decided enough was enough and went Republican.
Rick Pearlstein joins the Q to discuss his books called Nixonland and The Invisible Brdge. Mark, Jason, Bobby and Schep talk to him about the Donald Trump presidency and who he thinks he most resembles out of past presidents. He discusses the upcoming of the republican party through the 60's into the 70's and 80's , and drops some pearls of wisdom that he uncovered while researching the book. This is the Christmas show and Mark and Bobby bring back a present for the The Q show listeners, they do a Game on/Game off. Also Mark is having a problem with Samsung regarding his 9 month old washing machine and the team decides whether Mark is just being sensitive or if he has legitimate concern against the company. And finally, Santa has a naughty and nice list and there are some common naughty things that people in the US prescribe to. Do any of the cast fall into these locations...find out on the Last Q of 2016!
Mark Bland, Jason Kull, Producer Bobby and Board op John are joined by special guest Alex Elias as they make the debut of the Q on 1190 AM The Patriot in St. Louis. First up is the general discussion about the latest movements in the Trump transition and how they don't look like its going to be a smooth trip.
Next Mark touches on the way we as people, if you are unhappy with trump being President, should view and handle news stories from here on out. Do we need to discuss everything that the man does? Does it take away his luster if we choose to ignore? That and many other questions pop up. Finally the team focuses on how their zodiac signs attract people to them and a discussion about a lady, a guy and their unborn baby. The team is divided on whether the man in the relationship should have as much power and say in the relationship to do what he did. And what did he do??? Well you have to listen to the Q and find out!
Mark Bland and Jason Kull welcome Darius Jackson to the show to discuss the world for minorities during this Donald Trump transition. What is the feel in that culture for what happened? Also, based off questioning others, what does black and minority culture think is going to happen over the next 4 years. Dairus, though, is on the show because he is honestly a fan of the Q and had some serious questions regarding Donald Trump and the thoughts on Betsy Devoss taking over the Department of Education under Trump. She is planning on instituting a potential voucher plan for schools. See what Mark and Jason think about implementing the plan and how it might lead back to times when things were less pleasant for some of our nation.
