I had a chance to sit down with Ray Hance at his seven generation family farm in Canute, Oklahoma. Ray and his wife Vera are friends and former colleagues. I had a chance to sit down and interview my long time friend, colleague and mentor Vera Hance in Canute, Oklahoma at the farm that has been in their family for seven generations. I was able to sit down with Kevin Ulmet who is Senior Pastor at the Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. Kevin is a good friend and has been a collaborator of ours for our work in Kenya. I had the pleasure of interviewing Jordan Dages in Canute, Oklahoma. Jordan teaches high school history in Kansas. Jordan comes from a great legacy. I have known his family since I was 14 years old. His grandparents and parents are both great friends. Jordan is also a dedicated teacher who is intentional about not only the academics but teaching important things such as empathy to his students. I had the pleasure of interviewing Mike Mackey who is the Director of Court Services for the Commonwealth of Virginia. I have known Mike for a number of years and I consider him a good friend. I worked with him on a gang task force in Alexandria, Virginia. Mike is originally from Boston and is a dedicated Boston sports fan but somehow cheers for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Today I interview one of the few people who has known me since birth, my older brother Ron Copple. It was a privilege to sit down with Ron and talk about the great influence he has had in his life and the legacy he is leaving. We of course reminisced about our growing up years with some old stories. Ron is a husband and father and was a successful businessman in the State of Washington. He was also able to influence thousands of kids when he was the president of the Washington State Youth Soccer Association.
