Welcome to another edition of The Legendarium Podcast. As part of our mission statement to bring the history of the game to you in a variety of ways, we at No Cap Space don’t hang our hat on just written profiles. As part of our Legendarium roll-out, every profile will have a print feature released on Wednesdays, a podcast on Thursday and a video essay on our Youtube page on Fridays. The podcasts, in particular, are designed to give you a chance to hear the uncut sound of interviews done with hall-of-famers, star players and those that deserve their flowers all these years later.

This episode stays in the northeast United States but turns the clock back about a decade from Rutgers’ 1982 AIAW National Title. The first dynasty in women’s basketball didn’t come from a major power like the University of Tennessee or a deep pocketed program like the University of Texas. Instead, a small, all-girls Catholic school called Immaculata was winning national titles and breaking barriers that went far beyond the Catholic population of Philadelphia.
