Hello and welcome again to another episode of The Lenko Show where we discuss all things health and performance.
In this Episode I sit down with Adam Neal who has an incredible CV in Rugby League earning a Scholarship and then playing professionally for Warrington, Salford and representing England at youth level. It would be wrong if I didn't question him on the mentality it takes to take full advantage of those opportunities which have to be earned. This turns into something which isn't just relevant advice for young athletes but also solid life advice for anyone looking to improve their own health.
We delve into discussing personal responsibility (always a popular topic on this show), the possibility of drastically over achieving your goals in the gym and accidentally becoming MASSIVE (this is a genuine concern for some people and quite frankly it's.... ridiculous!
As Adam is an expert coach who has a wealth of experience in training through his career as an athlete AND as a trainer we obviously had to speak about training splits and making sure you get the most out of your time in the gym. Believe it or not the simple things usually work best when applied with consistency and reasonable intelligence... maybe there is a reason Adam highlights women as generally training better than men in the gym... could ego possibly be involved...?
The final points in this podcast look at some pretty trivial stuff such as the world hotdog eating contest, lemonade drinking AND IS IT COMING HOME??????
