The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.

This includes the $1 trillion bipartisan package and the $3.5 trillion 'human infrastructure' package that would need to pass the Senate with 50 Democratic votes via reconciliation. They also analyze why Democratic Senators Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema might be standing in the way of the reconciliation bill passing in the Senate.
Tara Devlin is a New York City based comedian, writer, and host of the unapologetically-liberal podcast "TARABUSTER.”
Mark Grimaldi has been a progressive political activist for the past 12 years. Today's guest hosts are Brent J. Cohen and Charlotte Hancock, Executive Director and Communications Director for Generation Progress.
They discuss how, last week, the Supreme Court allowed a Texas law to take effect that bans abortion after around the sixth week of pregnancy, at which point many people do not even know they are pregnant. This law is devastating for many Texans, particularly for those who cannot afford to travel out of state to access abortion care. It also goes against the established precedent set by Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, leading many to be concerned about the implications of this law for other states across the country.
To talk with Brent and Charlotte about this law, and what can be done to protect abortion rights in Texas and beyond, they’re joined by two expert guests.

During this episode, Leslie is joined by Moe Vela, host of "In The Know With Moe," which can be heard and seen all of the same places as the Leslie Marshall Show, each Thursday from 3-4pm ET.
First, Moe details his most recent entrepreneurial endeavor as the co-creator, co-producer and co-star of the hottest new business reality streaming series, 'Unicorn Hunters.' Moe stars alongside the likes of Apple Co-Founder Steve Wozniak, former Treasury Secretary Rosie Rios, Musical Superstar and Investor Lance Bass, and several other business titans and luminaries. 'Unicorn Hunters' is on a mission to democratize access to wealth, so that it is no longer the privilege of a select group. 'Unicorn Hunters' allows founders to reach millions of investors around the world, and provides viewers with the opportunity to invest in pre-IPO opportunities. The show just finished taping their second season with six new amazing future unicorns who will impact millions of lives. The show can be seen at UnicornHunters.com.
Second, Leslie and Moe give their takes on two very controversial new Texas laws that passed within the last week.
The second law is the most restrictive voter suppression bill that has passed nationwide. It rolls back early voting and adds new ID requirements, which critics say disproportionately impact voters of color.
The final topic that Leslie and Moe discuss is a new joint statement released by editors of over 230 medical journals saying that "Global warming is affecting people's health — and world leaders need to address the climate crisis now as it can't wait until the COVID-19 pandemic is over," according to Axios.
Moe Vela is the CEO of MoeVela, LLC, a strategic business advisory firm, with business partnerships and ventures that span the globe across a diversity of sectors and industries. Leslie is then joined by Tom Nichols, a national political commentator, Columnist for 'USA Today,' contributing writer at 'The Atlantic,' and Author of the popular book, "The Death of Expertise." Today's guest hosts are Brent J. Cohen and Charlotte Hancock, Executive Director and Communications Director for Generation Progress.
During today's show they discuss the underrepresentation of Black women in elected office and the impact that that lack of representation has on the national political landscape. We know that Black women turned out in extremely high numbers in the 2020 election and ultimately had a significant impact on the result. But when we look at legislatures at both the state and federal levels, it is clear that Black women are not even close to equally represented in government.
To talk with Brent and Charlotte more about this issue, and the findings from the recently released 'No Democracy Without Black Women' report on the subject, they are joined by two expert guests from the organizations that made that report happen,
Generation Progress' website is GenProgress.org and their Twitter handle is @GenProgress. Edwith Theogene's Twitter handle is @WhoIsEdwith and Charlotte Hancock's handle is @CharlatAnne. The handle for NOBEL Women is @NOBELWomen1 and the handle for the State Innovation Exchange is @stateinnovation.
