David Kay was the Executive in Charge of Audience Development for The Late Show with David Letterman From 1998 until the show's end in 2015. He was originally brought in as a consultant to the Late Show to streamline and create systems regarding the live audience that watched the show in the Ed Sullivan theater every night. David and Mike go deep on what made a good audience for The Late Show and the painstaking efforts made behind the scenes to make sure this vital element of the show was nothing short of excellent.
