On a special Saturday edition of Liberal Dan Radio I will be broadcasting live from Rising Tide X at Xavier University at 10 am Central. I will have an open mic to join in the conversation live or you can call in as usual. All topics relevant to Katrina are on the table. From the good, to the bad, to the ugly everything should be on the table. It is my opinion that while some people may have Katrina fatigue that we never allow anyone forget what happened to us in New Orleans and the Gulf South.

On the August 26, 2015 episode of Liberal Dan Radio the first half of the hour will be a random discussion of various topics from the past week. Some topics include the bizarre notion that liberals are racist for supporting gun control and Donald Trump kicking a Hispanic member of the press out of his press conference.

Then at the bottom half of the hour I welcome on Jeffrey, author of one of the best New Orleans blogs: Library Chronicles (or as some call it, the Yellow Blog). He will be on to discuss more of #RisingTideX. It should definitely be an interesting show.

On the August 19, 2015 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:

Are participation trophies good for children or do they promote a sense of "entitlement". NFL players James Harrison took away participation trophies that had been given to his children and the internet has applauded. But are they right? Are such trophies bad for kids? Or are opponents of these trophies just manufacturing arguments with no proof to back them up?

The race for election is getting more hectic every day. Now some people are trying to be Ted Cruz birthers. Most of their arguments are false. However, I will go into one argument that could actually be problematic if true.

Then in the bottom half of the hour I will be discussin the book Katrina: After The Flood with author Gary Riviln. Praised by such people as Michael Eric Dyson and John Barry, the book is an important read to see how race and racial issues revealed themselves in the early days prior to the storm.

On the August 12, 2015 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:

The Republican debate took place last week and nobody was really surprised at what came out of it. I will go over some of the comments from the debate, expecially the anti-woman stances taken by the all male "adults table" prime time version.

Then I will be talking with Candice Detillier Huber, owner of Tubby and Coo''s Mid-City Book Shop in New Orleans. She attended Gen Con and was interested in a panel that would be taking place about women and comic books. The panel itself turned out to be a disaster and Candice will be coming on the show to discuss what happened and the aftermath when she determined that she would no longer be carrying works done by the moderator in her store.

On the July 1, 2015 Episode of Liberal Dan Radio:

Last week was a historic week in our country. We had a ruling on Marriage Equality and a ruling on Obamacare Subsidies. I will be going over those rulings and what they mean.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal also entered the race to become the GOP nominee for president. People have underestimated him to their peril previously. So Liberal Dan Radio will be your  one stop shop to learn the facts about Bobby Jindal. This week I will go over the #askBobby hashtag and if there is time I will go over the exorcism that he took part in back in college. (If I do not have time to discuss it this week, I will definitely bring it up next week).

On the May 21, 2015 episode of Liberal Dan Radio:

Right as it looked like Louisiana wasn't going to embarass itself, again, with discriminatory laws Bobby Jindal comes to save the day to keep Louisiana pushing downwards to the bottom of every list. Hypocrite Jindal issued an executive order directing his administration to basically enforce the legislation that wasn't passed.

Say what? I will go into why that is majorly hipocritical. I will also go into why his executive order is not only discriminatory, but is poorly constructed as well.

If time permits I will also go into other issues and take your calls as well.
