On this week's dose of book recommendations, library love, and literary enthusiasm, our guest is Laura Hyppolite, the author of a poetry anthology about culture, immigration, and identity called "Ordinary." Laura and her family immigrated from Haiti to America when she was eight years old and that experience helped inspire the poetry she finally gets to share with readers! One year ago I bought a microphone and decided to launch an experimental project called The Library Laura Podcast. We were about a month into the pandemic and I was unemployed and searching for what God would have me do next. Twelve months later, I've shared 52+ episodes, given and received tons of book recommendations, and talked to plenty of amazing people.
Today's episode is a little bit different and lots of fun. My husband, Ryan, kindly agreed to come on as a co-host and interview me. Podcast listeners and guests submitted question for me to answer. Tune in for the answers to all the questions below, and check out the booklist for all the books I talked about in the process!

Reyna also writes women's fiction legal thrillers; her first book is Unreasonable Doubts and her upcoming book is called Both Are True. Reyna enjoys reading books that have emotional pull and resonance, so we enjoyed swapping some middle grade and adult book recommendations.

Welcome to this week's dose of book recommendations, library love, and literary enthusiasm. Have you ever wondered who narrates your audiobooks? Well, today we get to talk to Paul Gewuerz about his experience doing just that. Then, a few years ago, Paul took his experience as a freelance audiobook narrator to start telling personalized stories through his business Made To Order Audio. We talked about audiobook narration, character voicing, telling stories, what non-fiction and historical fiction have to teach us, and what Paul enjoys listening to while renovating their 100-year-old home into an Airbnb.
