Our relationships (marriages) can be doomed from the start if the intentions of our heart are not pure and committed to serious covenant. We cannot seriously and sincerely love someone and keep our options open for others. Love is only blind when we ignore the wall of character. Of course when dating online we are trusting that the image people present of themselves is authentic. Other than the exceptions from online dating, we are first attracted to our spouse, then we get to know their character in a deeper way. When we enter a relationship with the wrong intentions, we ignore character with the heart intention to conquer and From there, we begin to build relationship directly with the character of  if the intention of our hearts is not lasting covenant between God, us and the one we say we love, we will continue to make casual commitments that expire when the infatuation wears off.

We must be careful not to let the tools meant to help us become distractions. These tools, if not used wisely, can keep us from being effective citizens—both in our country and in the kingdom of God. In this episode, we explore practical tips and techniques to overcome distractions that can make us ineffective at home, work, church, and in our lives overall. I share a story about what it means to be “tethered by choice” and the risks this can pose to our productivity and faithfulness. How can we use modern tools without falling into the traps they set before us?

"Thriving in love" requires intentionality and balance and I’d add for the context of all believer’s, FAITH. While technology connects us, it can also lead to distractions, misunderstandings, and unrealistic expectations. 

To build strong relationships, we need to prioritize real connection over digital noise, communicate honestly, and set boundaries around screen time. Embracing both the benefits of digital tools and the importance of face-to-face interaction (like what happens in church, the basketball court, ect.) these interactions used intentionally help foster trust, emotional intimacy, and resilience. By being mindful of how we use technology, we can nurture relationships that are deeper, healthier, and more fulfilling.

Building a lasting marriage involves commitment, trust, communication, and mutual respect. It means prioritizing each other, being open and honest, and handling conflicts with grace. Consistently nurturing your relationship, making time for connection, and staying attentive to each other’s needs are essential. Practicing forgiveness, supporting each other’s dreams, and growing together through life’s changes help create a strong foundation for a lifelong partnership. Several theories of existence seek to address the origin and purpose of life. These theories can be categorized into philosophical, religious, and scientific explanations. The Bible, however, teaches that we exist to glorify God, enjoy a personal relationship with Him, love and serve Him, steward His creation, and reflect His character. According to biblical teaching, these purposes give meaning and direction to our lives.

Making difficult decisions can help relieve anxiety by reducing uncertainty and providing control over one's circumstances. The believer lives by faith, trusting God's sovereignty and providence. We believe that God is in control and that all things work together for our good. We give away control over the circumstances to trust the living God with our entire lives. This is a practiced habit of righteousness that grows over time. Jesus, the Son of God, commanded us not to worry or be anxious.  

When we follow God well we make God the priority in our lives. On this episode we look into our priorities and Matthew chapter four as we continue to view how Jesus starts his ministry and makes the call for the apostles to follow him. At the simplest form of our faith we must be reminded how important it is to follow Jesus well.
