At the beginning of a New Year, people have a psychological new opportunity to start over. Invariably, they make resolutions, goals, plans and vows.
That's the spiritual side of things. However, success in purpose pursuit goes beyond the spiritual into the actual. That's why we need to track our activities and place timelines on them.

Perspectives, as already shared can mean heaven and earth difference in the world where discouragement is firmly part of life. We might not have a vaccine against it but we can change our mental game and thrive against discouragement.
This is the last episode on the topic and incidentally, the last one in 2021. It has been a great ride. No matter what you do, don't let discouragement steal your dreams. Listen to this.

Despite the passion and the dedication to music, despite knowing that her vision is to facilitate healing through music, at some point in time Price Love considered giving it up altogether. She even considered suicide.
Listening to her story, you learn quite a bit about gifts and talents, family, purpose, passion, work as well as resilience. This is one of my favorite episodes because we are soothed in there by her wonderful music from the "Adungu", a traditional musical instrument in Uganda.
You really want to listen to this.

All humans of all walks of life will experience discouragement. As already discussed in the previous episode, discouragement is a merchant of death, sapping out the life off many peoples and pursuits.

A lot that shouldn't have been lost has been because of discouragement. I could easily say that discouragement is a merchant of death, not just the physical death but death of projects, ideas, relationships, etc.
It kills momentum and slows us down. The interesting thing is that the discouragement could be an illusion. Whether real or illusionary, we have to learn to deal with it. Listen to this.

In life, as long as you are human, even though you protect yourself from it, discouragement will always waltz itself into your life. As such, we have to be aware of it and prepare ourselves accordingly.
The easiest way of fending off discouragement is to not get involved in life, lack passion, direction and purpose...even then you can't escape it. People of purpose will be discouraged. How do we handle it? Listen to this.

In purpose pursuit, we need as much help and connections as we can get. So as we keep moving on in life, it is not only good to offer friendship but to receive it too. Here are some of the advantages of friendship in purpose pursuit.

Amos Wekesa of Great Lakes Safaris brought Gerald's story to my attention when he highlighted it on Facebook. I went down to his workshop to have a chat and was greatly inspired. I still am even as we continue keeping in touch.
Childhood play and passion can be taken for granted, but from Gerald's story, I have reason to believe that the passion is installed in us for life. As a child, what you are passionate about might find no relevance in life, at least the way it has been structured by Status Quo.
In this conversation, we learn the importance of passion, persistence as well as "divine connections" in the pursuit of our purpose in life. Listen to this.
