“Do you like the color orange?” -Brigid
“Hermes orange or none.” -Elizabeth
It’s Fall Y’all! Brigid and Elizabeth chat all things fall refresh, the merits of the word y’all during the fall season, the hazards of bringing the actual outdoors in (bugs! Stick to purchasing the outdoor look!) and the general idea of keeping your fall decor cozy, textured, layered, and ultimately, true to your own style. And also, let’s be honest, the decor is for you, not your kids!
PS. Elizabeth’s big confession: she’s never put up a Christmas tree or really decorated for holidays! Listen along as she learns from the holiday refresh maven, Brigid!
- Think Fall Harvest vs Halloween. The more natural, the better.
- Focus on textures and cozy feeling items. Throws, fuzzy pillows, fall-scented candles, fires, etc.
- Bring the outdoors in-gourds and pumpkins, in whatever colors feel natural to your space, will provide the seasonal feeling without appearing too commercial or overdone. Acorns, branches, darker colored florals and other organize elements are fabulous additions-but learn from us and don’t forage for them, as you’ll also be welcoming a whole slew of bugs into your home with your beautiful display…
