God Will Guide You Back to Life

“The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail.” – Isaiah 58:11, NIV

Walking along the boardwalk at the Beaver Marsh in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, I was amazed at how this thriving wetland had come back to life. For decades, the site was a junkyard filled with old cars. In the 1980s, inspired by a shared desire to care for God’s creation, community volunteers and park staff came together to haul away tons of trash and clean up the landscape. Then, beavers reintroduced to the area built a dam across a nearby canal, which naturally flooded the land that had been a marsh years ago. Dormant seeds that had been waiting for water activated and started growing into marsh plants again. What was once a damaged dump transformed into a thriving wetland filled with water lilies, birds, turtles,

Money is not a bad thing, but coveting money is terribly dangerous. Jesus warns us against longing for money and placing our confidence in the abundance of money. At the final day, worldly wealth will not help us—only “riches toward God”. We must be on our guard, and learn contentment with what we have.

The story of the prodigal son is ultimately a revelation of the Father’s heart.

Teaching from Luke 15, Dr. Michael Youssef shows that the Father’s love is neither weak nor permissive. He allows rebellion, grieves over separation, and waits patiently—but when repentance comes, He runs in mercy to receive the one who returns.

This is costly, redemptive love. Dr. Youssef points to the cross, where Jesus Christ bore the shame and cost of redeeming sinners who could never save themselves.

And rebellion does not always look the same. Some run openly into the far country. Others hide behind religion, pride, and outward respectability. But the call to both is the same: repent and come home.

This episode calls listeners to:

• See the holiness and compassion of the Father,
• Repent of open or hidden rebellion,
• Trust the inerrant Word of God,
• Receive the mercy offered through Christ,
• Intercede for those still in the far country,
• Rejoice in the Father’s redemptive love.

The Father’s arms remain open to the repentant. The question is whether we will humble ourselves and come home.
