After a decades-long break, our now grizzled, grey, and aged cohosts are finally releasing another episode! This is our final FCU episode and our final ABA episode. But before we get into the silliness, we talk about the Reformed Accent and other stuff.

The sermon series David mentioned.
There are probably other links but David is lazy and you can just use Google.

In this episode, we intended to talk about our home-buying experience. That didn’t happen. We ended up just catching up and talking about reformed baptist churches and Jim’s hunt for a good one.

Last episode, we tried to talk about our home buying experiences, but then we got bogged down in a bunch of talk about Jim’s church and we never got around to talking about our home buying experiences. This episode, we try to talk about our home buying experiences, but then we get bogged down talking about Jim’s church—but this time we actually do finally get around to talking about our home buying experiences. It’s like Groundhog’s day, I think.

If you’ve ever tried to get gum off your shoe, you understand how hard it is to get rid of this podcast. You also understand how hard it is for us to get rid of Ben Robin. In this episode, he joins us again for another text adventure game. Also Jim and Ben get quite confrontational about David’s covenanter-y beliefs.
This episode is mastered in surround sound, so you may want to listen with headphones.

Sure, if you wanted to hear our End of Year Special from 2018, you could have just gone back and listened to episode 24. But we’ve made it easier for you by pretending a podcast feed is a radio station and replaying old content. You’re welcome.

There comes a time in every podcast’s life when they release an episode like this one. Probably. Most likely. I think so, anyway.
We have some good conversations about Jim’s anthophila-at-rest expression, then read some Mitch Hedberg jokes, then “vamp” in follow up for the rest of the show.

You have died of dysentery. Or rather, you’ll wish you had. No, wait. The show is good now. Sorry, Jim. Anyway, in this episode we have Ben on to play a text adventure game called Flaming Goat! Since it wraps up pretty quickly, the three of us come up with a game about trains and Francis Schaffer on the fly. Then we talk a bunch about what’s wrong with David. Lastly, Ben has a last word at the last.
This episode was actually mastered in Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio—and while that won’t come through 100% since it needed to be exported as an MP3 for podcasting, it is best listened to in stereo—so if you have headphones or some nice stereo speakers, maybe consider using them to listen.

The source for the text adventure game we played: Memento Mori. These are really fun with groups!
In this episode, we banter about Apple and pictures and stuff. Jim explains his deep desire for camouflage pants, possibly explaining his aversion to regular pants. We also talk a bit about COVID and Crossway, though as separate discussions. For the main course, we finish Jordan Peterson’s book or something, I guess.

Um. I’m not sure what to write here. Officially, we covered two more chapters of Jordan Peterson’s book. Unofficially, just listen and find out. Okay? I’ve got things to do, too. Was this description really something you were going to read and evaluate whether or not to listen to this episode? I didn’t think so.
Sorry, I think I just wanted to rush through writing this so I can quit staring at the show artwork. Yikes.
