We are not saved so we can deal with our problems for the rest of our lives. Jesus came to set us free, break chains and give us freedom from everything holding us back and holding us down. There is a calling on you to live a certain way - to love your enemies. Every opposition you face is a door of opportunity to live in the way Jesus did.

The Apostle Paul had a past. He wreaked havoc on the early church. Yet the wrote 1/3 of the New Testament. He knew how to press on and make sure what was in his past did not affect his future. We must leave behind the toxic, the difficult, the problems and the frustrations otherwise our pasts will hold us prisoner.

Have you ever been frustrated and thought “there has to be another way.” Maybe God has asked you do something and it doesn’t quite add up and you say that there has to be another way. Sometimes the Kings of Israel found themselves in these situations. Sometimes we find ourselves in battles we didn’t even choose to reclaim what is ours anyway!

It is impossible in the spiritual to have 2020 vision. There is so much about the future that we just don’t know but there are principles and guides that are explained in the Bible. The characteristic of 2020 vision is that it is clear, it is focused, it is accurate and it is true. We can have some sense of 2020 vision in the what the Bible teaches us accurately and truly.

Standards and absolutes are all up for grabs - truth is what you decide it is. We should expect these foundations to continue to shift. For this reason we need to know what we stand on! When the foundations shift you don’t need to shift with them. The Bible should always be our unchanging standard for living.
