After seeing her dad disappear before her eyes, Lily decides to not go to Smythe's SFL. Since that isn't really an option, she tackles the problem mathematically and finally arrives in the kingdom where things are--predictably--illogical.

Lily and her parents prepare to journey through the bathtub to Smythe's SFL. Lily has quite a few issues about (a) going, (b) the mathematics of how a person can travel through a tub, and (c) figuring out how to navigate a relationship with her "dad."

Lily returns to school where there is still not enough math. At home, things keep getting more illogical. 

Over dinner, Lily learns more about her father's past--and her future.

Lily's father returns as her birthday dinner continues.  She is shocked by the information he shares about where he has been.
