Shakespeare’sSonnet 40 "Take all my Loves my Love" graced our magazine's title a few years ago. It is a meditation on love, betrayal, and forgiveness as the speaker addresses a lover who has taken everything—his love, his devotion, even perhaps his trust—yet he cannot bring himself to hate them. We have reimagined it here and we hope you enjoy listening to it, it's read by Clare. It's number 3 in our Valentine's Count down.
In The Mandylion, Joe Giordano intertwines art, danger, and family dynamics through the lives of Anthony and Valentina Provati. This gripping excerpt sets the stage for a high-stakes narrative as Anthony, a Manhattan art dealer, is drawn back into a dangerous world by Sophia, an alluring figure from his past. With Valentina’s sharp wit and FBI expertise, the siblings navigate temptation, loyalty, and the shadowy underbelly of the art world.
On our Valentine's run up, we hope you enjoy listening to "In the Turning:" a celebration of love’s transformative power, that turns fear into ease and calls dreams into reality. Reminding us that creativity, hope, and love are the true forces that mold our world. Like artists and dreamers, we also craft our futures with intention, breathing life into possibilities, ones yet unseen.
