Local lad Liam Bolton popped in this week for random musings on his comedy life and we get star of E4s new comedy lab pilot The Warm Up Guy, Tom Davis on the phone to chat about that and his work with the likes of Leigh Francis and Morgana Robinson.
It's half term and you should use this time wisely by going to the Southport Comedy Festival and see either of this shows guests Tony Simpson or Jamie Sutherland, go on! Do it now! Go!
This week Reginald D Hunter told us what to expect from his show at the Philharmonic and why sometimes even the devil tells the truth. We also inform you that with the summer extending into Autumn what better way to spend it than at the Southport Comedy Festival organised by Brendan Riley who popped in to tell us all about it.
This week we look at the history of comedy in computer games with City Talk's Breakfast show host Mick Coyle and our final interview from our Edinburgh trip with former Bluecoat pupil and regular on BBC Radio 4's The Now Show, Mitch Benn.
Having finally recovered from the Edinburgh festival we found a load of cool interviews with comedians on our recorder so we decided to put them in the show, how lucky is that! Muck Comedy chums Andy & Dave popped around to our flat, the bar staff at the Stand didn't mind chatting to us and we had one of our favourite interviews so far with the fantastic Gavin Webster. We also got to try out our new bleep machine, enjoy!
Finally it's here, the month long xmas for comics, the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Over the next few weeks we'll be keeping you updated with what going on up there and getting reviews of the shows and interviews with the best comedians. This week Jess Bolger gives us some tips on going up to the festival and TVs Patrick Monahan shows us the funny.
A perfect 10th show with two more top comedians on the Quota. Tanyalee Davis Plays the Laughterhouse this weekend so we got her to chat about comedy, TV exposure, public transport, working Vegas and being 3ft 6. Also son of local legend Mickey Finn - Sean Finn talks about the the local scene and the family business.
With Radio City Live on at the Echo Arena this Friday we realised that we had an interview with Example in our archive vaults. Recorded in a simpler time when Fulham were reaching the Europa Cup final and Woy only visited Anfield twice a season. We also have an interview with former JMU student and the guy who is warming up the crowds for this series of Shooting Stars, Maff Brown. Enjoy.
