Would you consider yourself to be a faithful witness of Jesus? Are you looking for opportunities to help further His Kingdom by preaching the Gospel and making disciples? The prophets that God sent to the people of Israel were commissioned by God to preach a certain message. You also, have been commissioned by God to preach a specific message. You're called to fulfill the great commission of preaching the good news and to make disciples of all the nations! Are you obeying that commission?

When you first started to believe in God, was it the kindness of God that drew you to repentance? Or was it the fear of God's wrath and the thought of Hell that drew you to God? Today, Pastor Danny will be explaining how some people are drawn by God's kindness, and some are drawn because they realize their sin will lead them to Hell. When God was trying to get Israel to repent, He sent two witnesses to minister to them because He's long-suffering and loving, desiring that none should perish.

As Pastor Danny continues his teaching series through the book of Amos he'll be explaining how the Israelite's still practiced religious rituals and ceremonies even though they continued to worship idols and live in sin. Sadly, this is going on within the Church as well. People are going to church every Sunday, they say their prayers, they may even read some devotional every morning, but don't live a repentant lifestyle. God doesn't want any vain rituals from you, or religious acts, He wants your heart!

All throughout the Bible, when God calls people to Himself, He doesn't just tell them to follow after Him, He also calls them to leave their old life behind. Today, Pastor Danny will be teaching through the book of Amos, and he'll be challenging you to obey the voice of God, and to forsake any sinful activities you're involved in so that God could use you as a mouthpiece. When you become filled with the Holy Spirit and you cooperate with the work He's trying to do within you, He can pour out into others around you.
