We live in a culture that has encouraged rampant self-indulgence. Pornography is readily available with only a few clicks and children are forming addictions earlier than ever. Drug addiction is being labeled an epidemic and is responsible for countless broken families and deaths. As Pastor Danny points out in today’s message, the world has lost all self-control. In this culture of selfishness, we can shine bright as we walk in the freedom that Christ offers to those who are born of His Spirit.

Are you focused on gaining and maintaining popularity or the approval of your peers? Or are you focused on pleasing God and pointing the world towards Him? When that’s your goal, you are bound to face resistance in a world that is bent against Christ. As Pastor Danny challenges us in today’s message, we need to be bold as we stand up for our Savior. Our lives should stand out in contrast to a world that has rebelled against the order and design of our Creator.

There’s a popular phrase that’s been passed around the Christian community that goes something like, “preach the Gospel, and when necessary, use words.” While it’s true that your actions and lifestyle are a reflection of the Gospel, and a vital part of demonstrating the grace and transforming power of God, as Pastor Danny reminds us in today’s message, we can’t share the Gospel without words. The world needs to hear the beautiful name of the one who’s secured our salvation.

God has a plan for your life and He’ll protect and enable you to carry it out. He won’t allow a single day to be cut short as long as you’re focused on following His will for your life. This doesn’t guarantee you a long life, but it does mean that your life will be meaningful and effective for Him. As Pastor Danny clarifies in today’s message, you do have the free will to choose your own way, outside of His purpose, and if you do, you’ll miss out on His greater plan and your life will be a waste.

You are called to be faithful in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the world around you. Unfortunately, you will experience rejection as you fulfill that calling. It’ll be discouraging and you’ll probably feel like you’re not making any difference, but, as Pastor Danny challenges us in today’s message, let your hope in Christ empower you to persevere. Whether they are ready to hear it or not, don’t hesitate to share the incredible love He’s given you with everyone you encounter.

The storms of life can be devastating and mysterious. Sometimes they seem to come out of nowhere. You feel like you’re on top of the world one day, just to be completely blindsided the next. As believers, we know that God works all things together for our good, but even in hindsight its often hard to discern the benefit of many of those storms. As Pastor Danny explains in today’s message, you can’t expect to understand everything in this life, but you can trust the One who is greater than the mystery.

Not every adversity you face is a means of chastisement from God. We live in a fallen world, and we have a real enemy who is actively seeking our destruction. In today’s message, Pastor Danny will remind us that while it pains God greatly to watch His Creation struggle, He gave us free will and He allows these hardships and temptations as an opportunity to either choose Him or choose rebellion. Often times He uses those very trials to expose our weakness and remind us of our need for Him.

Even our own country is split on whether or not we should stand with this nation that has been at the center of God’s story through the ages. As Pastor Danny continues our study of the book of Revelation in today’s message, we see a world that could easily shift towards the scenario that we encounter in this chapter. While this may be frightening, if you are in Christ, you can stand steadfast in your hope, knowing the bright future He has for His Church.
