What's Goin' Down In Downtown J-Town is proud to bring you an inside view of the great people rebuilding this town. There have been so many great musicians, artists, and businesses calling Joliet their home as of late. We have made it our duty to continually keep you informed about what you can get out to enjoy.

Our podcast is recorded at Third City Sound on the third floor above Chicago Street Pub, the hub for our community. I've meet some of the best friends here, and I look forward to all of the new friends that have yet to find us.

In episode 27, we introduce to you Ernie Hendrickson. He's played at The Pub a bunch, and has also played Hopstring fest. This gentleman has been playing all over the place for years with the likes of Chicago Farmer and Miles Nielsen. I caught his last set at Chicago Street Pub after recording episode 25 with the Joliet Brewer's Guild. He agreed that night to make some time to get on the podcast for his own episode. This week we were able to get the newest head chef in town to bring us some of his fresh menu items. Dave and I wasted no time devouring the three dishes he brought for us to try. We talk all about what we ate, and also some of the new menus that we can look forward to coming out in the near future at Juliet's Tavern. That's right I said menus....plural. Our show is recorded live in studio at Third City Sound on the third floor in the same building as the pub. I like to call it The Chi'er. The bar that started it all for us is none other than Chicago Street Pub.

Joliet is known for a prison; crime. We're here to fill you in on a secret. Music is everywhere. All different kinds, and it's good stuff. There have been somse really great restaurants opening all of the time. There have been more events being held at the Joliet Historic Route 66 Museum that are a really great time. There's new life growing in Downtown Joliet. There's so much new music, food, beer, and festivals popping up all of the time. We interview as many people as we can that are bringing all of this to our area. We've also been making friends in surrounding towns that all have the same mindset. Community and support are becoming the biggest new trends. It's great to see so many people wanting to come together to help each other succeed.

In Episode 23, Ron Romero tells us about his music, sound company, and most of all his project to open a Museum for Illinois music. It's going to be so freaking cool!!! This is an episode you'll really enjoy...
