CORBEVAX is a patent-free, low-cost coronavirus vaccine created in Houston, which is being used across the world to vaccinate low income countries. 

I’m joined by Dr. Peter Hotez and Dr. Maria Elena Bottazzi who created the vaccine here in Texas and are working on getting it distributed.

Sabrina Van Tassel is an investigative reporter, director and producer, and she joins us today for the second time to update us on the development of Melissa Lucio’s case, explored in her documentary The State of Texas vs. Melissa.

Melissa Lucio has spent  over a decade on death row for the alleged murder of her two-year-old daughter, Mariah. In 2008, Lucio became the first Latina woman sentenced to death in Texas. She is now scheduled to be executed on April 27, 2022.

However, when we look back at Melissa’s case, there is a huge amount of doubt about what really happened and how the trial process went.

We’re joined by Tamara Saviano and Paul Whitfield, co-directors and producers of the long-awaited documentary ‘Without Getting Killed or Caught’.

The film documents the dynamic of Guy Clark, his wife Sussana Clarke, their deep friendship with singer/songwriter Townes Van Zandt, and their rise from obscurity to reverence.

They explain how the idea for the documentary came about, the impact they hope to have with the film and the aspects of Guy’s life that make him so special.
