Welcome to The Long Run with Sean Bell.
Running is more than just putting one foot in front of theother—it's a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.
I’m Sean Bell—an ultra-runner, keynote speaker, and onlinerun coach at Sean Bell Run Coaching.
I created this podcast to help you thrive—on the road, trails, track, and in the long run of life.
I originally launched this podcast in October 2022 as theFirst42K Podcast. After 24 episodes, I paused it in August 2023 to chase mydream - running 14,530 km aroundAustralia, and down and up Tasmania, in support of Make-A-Wish Australia. Thanks to the help of so many amazing people, we raised $177,000 to help sickkids chase their dreams.
Along the way, I broke the world record for the fastest runaround Australia. It was a massive challenge, full of blood, sweat, vomit, andtears. But my powerful reasons for taking on the run, and my mantra—Giddy Up—keptme going.
Now, I’m back with a new title and fresh energy: The LongRun with Sean Bell. In Season 2, I’ll be sharing some lessons I’ve learned throughsolo episodes packed with coaching advice and training tips. I’ll also bring onother everyday people with extraordinary endurance stories, showcasing theunseen parts of their journeys.
I’ve often been labelled a ‘natural’ runner, but that’s farfrom the truth. Like you, I’m just an everyday person. The reality is, I loverunning, and I’m disciplined to show up every day. Success doesn’t happen byaccident. It’s about consistency and patience and your success will compound.
Everyone’s journey matters. We all have a starting line. Iran my first marathon in October 2017, and by August 2024, I ran an average oftwo marathons a day, for nearly 6 months straight.
Whether you’re chasing a personal best, or training for yourfirst 5K to ultramarathon, I’m here to help you go the distance.
So, let’s giddy up, and tackle the long run together.
GIDDY UP!
