We often assume the world around us is relatively similar to what we see around us. Sometimes, though, we can fall victim to the idea that a market is saturated simply because we're so close to the market.

Sometimes we set ourselves up for failure by not seeing that we can be wrong, even when being wrong is better for us. Similarly, sometimes we run from tough feelings because being negative is seen as a character flaw, even when sitting with those feelings can be better for us in the long run.

We often trust information that is provided to us unless we have a specific reason not to. We even do this with ourselves, even we shouldn't. We're built to confirm our existing beliefs, but should we?

In noticing more than a few people make light of being distracted by technology, I wanted to take a moment to encourage people to take a break from it.

Dissonance is the concept that two conflicting things existing at the same time. In music, this means disharmony, but in people, this means holding emotions or viewpoints that are seemingly mutually exclusive.
