Everything you are trying to build sits on one foundation.
Remove it, and things slow down, break down, or stop completely.
Strengthen it, and everything flows.
That foundation is trust.
In this episode, I break down why trust is the core driver behind leadership, relationships, and long term progress, and why it is built through behaviour, not words.
A common question is why trust matters so much. The answer is simple. Nothing meaningful moves forward without it. When trust is strong, people engage, contribute, and step forward. When it is weak, people hesitate, hold back, and protect themselves.
I explain how trust is built through small, repeated actions. Showing up, following through, being consistent. These behaviours create predictability, and predictability is what allows others to feel confident in you.
This also highlights an important reality. Trust takes time to build, but it can be weakened quickly through inconsistency. When actions do not match expectations, confidence drops, even if the intention is good.
Another key part of this episode is understanding the difference between compliance and commitment. Without trust, people may follow direction, but only to a point. With trust, people commit. They engage fully, contribute more, and take ownership.
This builds directly on everything in the series so far. Values, alignment, consistency, accountability. All of these lead here. Because each one feeds into trust.
I also explore something deeper. Trust is not just external. It is internal. When you do not follow through on what you say, you weaken trust with yourself. And that affects your confidence, your decision making, and how you show up.
But when you follow through consistently, you build self trust. And self trust creates clarity, confidence, and momentum.
This is also where leadership becomes more powerful. People do not follow titles. They follow trust. Without it, you get compliance. With it, you create influence.
If you want to improve your leadership, your relationships, or your results, this episode will help you focus on what actually drives all of it.
Because trust is not built in big moments. It is built in small actions, repeated over time.
