This week, we’re joined by our teammate and resident Coconut aficionado Nate to dive into Lorcana’s growing multiplayer format! We break down how Coconut works, some of the newly revealed leaders, the joys of singleton deck building, table politics, and why this might be one of the best ways to bring a little more casual fun back into Lorcana.
Of course, we can never stay completely on topic. We also chat about Set Champs, the ever-changing meta, experimenting with new decks, the importance of knowing what your opponents are playing, and our thoughts on the newly announced DLC formats for Season 3.
Whether you’re grinding competitive events or just looking for an excuse to pull some forgotten cards out of your binder, maybe it’s time to… consider the coconut.
Happy Questing!

This week, Brittany, Nikki, and Lesley are talking Set Champs, shifting metas, and figuring out exactly what kind of Lorcana player you want to be. From Mouse House and Amber Amethyst taking over local events to homebrew decks, meme decks, and the importance of knowing your local room, there really is no telling what you’re going to sit across from right now.
Nikki shares why her return to competitive play helped her realize she’s happiest embracing the casual side of Lorcana, which leads the Muses into a bigger conversation about finding balance, setting your own goals, and remembering that there’s no wrong way to enjoy the game.
Plus, they talk Season 3 beginning before Season 2 Worlds is even finished, the decision to keep Worlds closed to the larger community, what they hope to see from organized play moving forward, and somehow end up talking about MCR, glitter vampires, and future Kim Possible cosplay.

The Disney Lorcana meta is moving fast, and honestly… we kind of love it.
This week, Nikki, Lesley, and Brittany are joined by Team Muses teammate Bryce to talk about life after rotation, the constantly changing competitive landscape, and a pretty incredible weekend for Team Muses: three Set Championship wins with three completely different decks.
Brittany breaks down what it was like to win a Set Championship with an Amethyst Steel list she had never played before that morning, while Bryce shares his run to a championship win on Amber Amethyst. We also look back at the LCQ and North American Championships, what all that testing taught the team, and why understanding your opponent’s deck may be just as important as knowing your own.
Plus, we talk competitive flexibility, the Arizona Lorcana community, Coconut, Nationals memories, and why sometimes the best thing you can do is stop trying to predict the meta and just play some Lorcana.
Happy Questing!

A quick note before you listen: This episode was recorded live from the Disneyland Resort, so the audio is a little rough at the beginning as we get everything dialed in. It improves as the episode goes on, and we appreciate you rolling with the live-recording magic!
We made it to 100 episodes, and there was no better way to celebrate than live from the Disneyland Resort during NA Championship weekend!
Brittany, Lesley, and Nikki are joined by Team Muses teammate Chris fresh off an incredible 6–0 LCQ run that earned him a spot in Nationals. We talk about his last-minute deck decisions, the wild variety of the LCQ meta, our experiences from the weekend, and what makes competitive Lorcana so much fun.
Then we celebrate 100 episodes the only way we know how: opening packs, answering questions from our live audience, dreaming about the Disney IPs we still want to see in Lorcana, and looking back at what this game and this community have meant to all of us.
Most importantly, we talk about where The Lorcana Muses goes from here: continuing to create a welcoming space, supporting our community, having fun with the game, and seeing what the next 100 episodes bring.
Thank you to everyone who has listened, shared an episode, joined a conversation, attended an event, or supported The Lorcana Muses along the way. We truly could not have made it to Episode 100 without you.
Here’s to the next 100.
Happy Questing!

With the LCQ right around the corner, the Muses are deep in playtesting, deck decisions, and maybe just a little bit of competitive spiraling. Brittany, Nikki, Lesley, and special guest Chris talk about preparing for a wide-open meta before diving into the HUGE wave of Lorcana news revealed at D23.
From Hyperia City, Figment, collector boosters, and the Season of Villainy to expanded Disney Lorcana Challenges, youth divisions, new qualification paths, and some dangerously good-looking promos, there is a lot to be excited about…and apparently a lot of money to spend.
Plus, we look ahead to Glimmer Days, the LCQ, and our upcoming 100th episode live from Disneyland!

The Muses are recapping a huge weekend after hosting a 57-player Lorcana tournament at Games Outpost! Brittany, Nikki, and Lesley break down the decks that showed up, what converted into Top 16, some standout off-meta choices, and what the event may tell us about the field heading into the LCQ.
They also talk about tournament stamina, creating events that feel welcoming to both competitive and newer players, and why sportsmanship matters just as much as playing well. Plus, the crew catches up on the latest Lorcana announcements, including Format Coconut, upcoming D23 events, Attack of the Vine Set Championships, The Great Honey Rescue, and a little preview of what’s ahead for the Muses’ 100th episode.

The Lorcana meta is changing fast, and Lesley, Nikki, and Brittany are feeling the pressure. Brittany and Lesley are stressing to choose their decks before the upcoming LCQ and Nikki is practicing droid on droid mirrors. They discuss Amber Emerald’s Gen Con success, frustrating mirror matches, sealed event struggles, and how to get more value from intentional playtesting.
The Muses also have an important conversation about sportsmanship, unchecked egos, and why dismissing an opponent’s win as luck damages the Lorcana community. Plus, they share their excitement for Coconut, Lorcana’s upcoming multiplayer format, and preview their upcoming Arizona playtesting and tournament events.

The new Lorcana set is here, the meta is wide open, and the Muses are officially in LCQ preparation mode! Brittany, Nikki, and Lesley break down their latest playtesting experiences, from Boosties and item-heavy strategies to Amethyst tempo, pandas, evasives, and the ever-present Gaston. They also discuss expensive cards, shiny collectibles, playing Lorcana on a budget, and why a fun deck is not always the right tournament deck.
With so many viable color combinations available, the group shares why consistency, matchup knowledge, and plenty of reps may matter more than living in Magical Christmas Land. Plus, the Lorcana Muses invite Arizona players to join their weekly community playtesting sessions at Game Outpost Mesa.

Attack of the Vine opening weekend was a little rootin’, a lot tootin’, and completely chaotic. Brittany recaps her last-minute trip to Downtown Disney, which included driving through the night, sleeping for an hour and a half, and standing in line for nearly ten hours just to get Lorcana product.
We also talk about our pre-release weekends, the unbelievable Iconic and Enchanted pulls happening around us, the cards that already feel broken in sealed, and the decks we’re testing in this wide-open post-rotation meta. Plus, we share what’s coming up for the Lorcana Muses, including our August tournament and Glimmer Days at Disneyland.
