Brian Aulick lead pastor of Engedi Church in Holland joins us to talk about Esther, the one God raised up to deliver the Jewish people from destruction.

As one who was double orphaned as a child and raised by her cousin Mordecai in exile, she could have been bitter and played small, blaming the hand she’d been dealt for the darkness she lived in. But she didn’t.

Esther received favor from God and others as she humbled herself, served others, and always gave her best. Even as she began to be noticed and promoted she remained teachable and others focused.

This Christmas we are reminded through Esther’s life that God’s favor rests on us through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the light in the darkness who comforts us in our darkness and shows the way out.
