So I decided to make a comeback 4 years after my last episode… let’s see where this goes!
I’m truly doing this for the joy of it and hope you enjoy it as well.
Janine Kathleen Shapiro lives in a nature reserve by the sea in South Africa with her husband and pups and is living her dream while teaching us how to reset our heart, mind, and gut to live in gratitude and acceptance. She has been a nurse and healer for many years and is now the CEO of her own health and wellness business.
She teaches that we can alchemize our pain and struggle into greatness no matter what situation we find ourselves in.
Find her on at www.janinekathleen.com and grab her free "Guide To Success"!
One way to alchemize the pain into purpose is by focusing on the feeling in our bodies and:
1. Ask "Who does this belong to?" (send with love back to the person/situation it actually belongs to if it's not yours!)
2. Stop yourself and clear the energy.
3. Have gratitude for it and send it on it's merry way.
4. Let the pain know that you're not available to "play" today!
5. Ask where you're protecting yourself from something you're unable to perceive and see if you can identify it and release it.

Thank you for to Janine for sharing her wisdom with us!
All my best to you in Living YOUR best LIFE!

Hey Friends! Ok, I had to say that. It's the name of the amazing clothing line started by today's guest!
Shaefer Santos is a young entrepreneur (20 at the time of this recording) whose love of fashion and business started very early. She started her first clothing line at age 16 and has been actively growing and pursuing her dream ever since!
We sat down to chat about all things entrepreneurship, skipping college, how she got started, what her family had to say about all of this, how production works, how in the world she got on the Drew Barrymore Show, and the expansion that has happened ever since. You'll even get the tea on what's next for Hey Friends!
10 Key Takeaways:
1. When you follow your heart and follow what lights you up, you can be successful at whatever you've dreamed of as a kid.
2. Having support from family and friends (Hey Friends!) is a key to success as you get started.
3. Success leaves clues...you will start seeing proof of concept in the world around you once you start following your bliss.
4. Just have an idea, be inspired, and create!
5. Trust yourself and the timing of how things happen. You'll feel when it's time for a shift or change in your business. Pay attention to your inner voice.
6. Magic can happen! Expect the unexpected in your business! (who knows, you may get chosen to have your brand featured on national TV, go viral, etc!)
7. Drew Barrymore is a trend-setter and amazing human:)
8. Be authentic, welcoming, and lead with an open heart, and your audience, customers, and clients will fall into your world easily.
9. When you are doing the right thing and it's aligned with your heart and soul, it'll feel like play to you and people will feel that authenticity.
10. Trust in yourself, work hard, and be proud of all that you've accomplished along the way, and never stop following your passion!
*bonus * To get started on your dream: TAKE ACTION! Just do one small thing and get the ball rolling. Once you have something you love to do, something you're good at, something the world needs, and something you can be paid for, you have a BUSINESS!

Jenny Lee is the owner and founder of BeeVibe, a lifestyle and mindset health coaching business, where she teaches women how to create a joyful morning routine that fits their lifestyle and flows with what they naturally love to do!
Jenny and I met in an amazing podcasting class lead by Cathy Heller. She and I connected in class easily and we both decided to take a leap of faith and just pressed record on the episode!
Jenny started her morning practice using something as fun as belly dancing to get her out of bed in the morning. She encourages her clients to choose something they already love to do to get them out of bed and get them moving right away so their energy can flow and the rest of their day can flow as well!
Keys for creating a joyful morning:
1. Starting first thing in the morning while the brain is between the theta and delta wave and your brain is most malleable, be aware that whatever seed you plant at that time is what will grow during your day.
2. Start each day in the energy of gratitude and love. From this child-like place of wonder, you'll already have a deep satisfaction for your day. You'll be in a state of receiving.
3. Choose something to do right away when you wake up that will light you up to get the energy flowing.
4. Waking up earlier can be difficult at first, but you can start small with 5 minutes and add on.
5. A new habit is not sustainable if it's not fun and you don't love it.
6. Your morning practice starts with what brings you joy! Some fun examples are belly dancing, stretching, dancing to your favorite song, etc
7. Stack a new habit on top of the morning practice like taking in nourishing foods and nutrients.
8. Nourish yourself on 4 levels positively each day: Emotional (gratitude), Physical (dance or movement), Spiritual (prayer), and Intellectual (inspirational podcast).
9. Avoid the news first thing in the morning!
10. Show up in your world with that great, clean energy every day. It is the most generous thing you can do for the world!
*Bonus- When your light is lit, you can create a ripple effect in the world!

Louis Henry Mitchell is the Creative Director of Character Design of Sesame Workshop, given that title because he has so many duties. He started working on Sesame Street in 1992. His responsibilities include directing photos of the Sesame Street Muppets, designing DVD covers, designing and co-sculpting the Macy's Sesame Street floats, art directing walk-around versions of the characters, and drawing storyboards. He also co-designed Kami and created and designed Julia, the new Sesame Street Autistic character, both as the illustrated book character as well as designing and art directing the building of the actual Muppet. Louis shares his child-like perspective with the world through his art and he's making the world a better place one creation at a time.
Wow was this a beautiful conversation we had today! Louis and I dove into creativity, staying child-like, and listening to our own children when it comes to staying open to the beauty the world has to offer. Staying focused and committed to our vision and having belief in our stories and creation in order to create a legacy is a lesson we found throughout our conversation. I'm so grateful for Louis and how generous he was sharing his heart with us.

Ooh this is a juicy one!
Today's podcast features Monica Graves. She and I met at her chakra balancing workshop in Edinboro a few weeks ago (October of 2022) and we instantly connected on a soul level!
Monica Graves is an International Speaker, Teacher and Retreat Host who has studied global health and wellness traditions for 15 years. She considers herself to be an “insatiable spirit nerd” and holds master certifications in Ayurveda, Meditation, Mindful Movement, Integrative Energy Work and Holistic Leadership.
After 6 years working as a Vedic Educator and Program Manager at The Chopra Center for Wellbeing under the mentorship of Dr. Deepak Chopra and many world-renowned visionaries, she launched her company Soulbare Wellness in 2015. Monica travels the world to facilitate transformational retreats, workshops and programs that instigate healthy, vibrant, purpose-filled living within every person she meets. She lives by the undeniable science of 2022 – to truly live well within our families, communities and career... we must give ourselves the time, space and permission to truly be well in every facet of our mind, body and soul.
Takeaways from this episode:
1. Sit with this question: "What does being the best version of you look like in all of your emotions?"
2. We can lean into who we are at every emotional level and embrace the person that we are right now.
3. We can sharpen each facet of ourselves into the gem of a human that we came here to be.
4. Your dharma is your soul's purpose and the embodied version of you in service to yourself and in service to others.
5. Be brave enough to listen to yourself and establish boundaries with who you are here to serve without judgement. Your people need you.
6. If it's meant for you it won't miss you.
7. Show up as an activist when and where you need to show up. Be rooted in your purpose, your talents, your voice and do it in service.
8. Take the leap even when it doesn't make sense on paper. Trust your heart.
9. Sometimes the bold decision you take is simply telling the people in your life that you need time to figure things out for yourself.
10. Root yourself in love and confidence and do it in community with others who are on the same path.
