As wildfires wreak havoc on areas of Los Angeles, people are asking questions: Why isn’t there enough water for the fire hydrants? Why did the new mayor cut the firefighting budget? Why was the mayor in Africa when the fire broke out? Why has the fire department and its leadership seemingly focused on diversity and inclusion at the expense of preparedness? This is a complete failure of the state’s leadership and people should be held accountable.
