  • Week 1-Biblical Principles of Stewardship

In this episode of "Reflecting God's Image: Financial Stewardship," Senior Pastor Jermaine Whiteside of Anointed Connect Church Inc. delves into the biblical principles of stewardship. Discover what it means to manage God's resources responsibly and the importance of planning for future generations. Pastor Whiteside unpacks key scriptures, including Proverbs 13:22 and 1 Peter 4:10, and shares the inspiring story of Joseph in Egypt from Genesis 41:33-57. Learn how Joseph's wise stewardship during times of abundance and famine can guide us in honoring God with our resources today. Join us for practical insights and spiritual wisdom on being faithful stewards of God's varied grace.

    Scripture:

    • Proverbs 13:22: "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the sinner's wealth is laid up for the righteous."
    • 1 Peter 4:10: "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace."

Biblical Story: "One powerful example of stewardship in the Bible is the story of Joseph in Egypt, found in Genesis 41:33-57. Pharaoh appointed Joseph to manage the resources of Egypt during seven years of abundance, knowing that seven years of famine would follow. Joseph collected and stored surplus grain during the plentiful years and then distributed it during the famine, ensuring that the people of Egypt and surrounding nations were provided for. Joseph's wise and faithful stewardship saved countless lives, elevated his status, and brought glory to God. This story illustrates the importance of foresight, planning, and responsible management of resources."

Discover how our identity as bearers of the Imago Dei influences our financial stewardship and ethical behavior. Pastor Whiteside delves into key scriptures, including Micah 6:8 and Luke 16:10, and shares the powerful parable of the talents from Matthew 25:14-30. • Introduction

Today's conversation around estate planning is often shrouded in complexity and misunderstanding, particularly within our communities. It is a topic many shy away from, associated with the end of life rather than the powerful tool for financial empowerment and generational wealth it truly is. "The Lost Estate" aims to change that narrative.

In each episode, we will dive into the essentials of estate planning, breaking down the barriers that have historically kept our communities from accessing and leveraging these powerful tools. From wills and trusts to financial literacy and beyond, we are here to provide you with the knowledge, strategies, and insights needed to navigate the path to economic security and legacy building.

But this journey is not one we will be taking alone. We will be joined by experts in the field—financial planners, legal professionals, community leaders, and individuals who have walked this path themselves. They will share their expertise, experiences, and the lessons learned along the way to help illuminate the path for us all.

Why is this important? Because knowledge is power. It is the key to unlocking the doors to financial freedom, transforming the future, and ensuring that the wealth we build today can support our families for future generations.

So, you are in the right place, whether you are starting from nothing, looking to refine your existing plans, or simply seeking to understand how estate planning can play a role in your financial well-being. Together, we will explore the tools and tactics needed to secure your legacy and ensure that your estate is not lost but leveraged for the benefit of your loved ones and the generations that follow.

    Empowering Through Education

Jermaine Whiteside: "Education is our most powerful tool. This series aims to empower listeners of all ages, from high school students to adults, with actionable insights and strategies to enhance financial literacy and estate planning awareness."
