The mysterious disappearance and death of Gabby Petito has been in forefront of American thinking lately. It has been seen across social media and the news.  But where was God? How does the Gospel interact with this story? In this episodeI give a Christian response to the sad story of the life and death of Gabby Petito.

Today we discuss various dangers, and allegations of abuse within the Watchtower Organization. Jehovah's Witnesses have a history dangerous doctrines and practices that have caused great harm, and trauma for their members. The degree of religious trauma that many within the group have faced is alarming to say the least. Usually I say, I hope you enjoy the episode...but today may not be so enjoyable. It needs to be discussed though...

Today we discuss several failed prophecies from Jehovah's Witnesses, as well as The New World Translation of the Bible. This group has been infamous for making bold predictions surrounding the end of the world, the apocalypse, and Armageddon. None of their predictions have come true.  Furthermore their translation of Scriptures has many flaws of it's own. In this sort of two parts in one video, we discuss both these issues. JW's are among the most recognizable groups when we consider cults. But most do not know their history., Where they came from, and their tendency to completely change their beliefs when they no longer fit their agenda. Deliver us from evil. It's a popular phrase in culture. But, is Jesus referring to an abstract evil force, or is He referring to the devil himself? When we pray, deliver us from evil, are we basically admitting "the devil made me do it" when it comes to evil. In this episode we discuss the fourth petition of The Lord's Prayer. This is the petition dealing with daily bread. Is God concerned with our day to day needs? Is it just a pious thing to pray for bread when we have an abundance of food and material things? Today, we talk about all those things.

Today we are actually going to cover not just one, but two petitions in the prayer. The petitions thy kingdom come and thy will be done.  Matthew 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. So, after Jesus has completed speaking about how we are to hallow God’s name in prayer, He then turns His attention to God’s kingdom. He teaches His disciples to pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be on earth as it is in Heaven.  Of all seven petitions on the prayer. Petitions 2 & 3 have a greater sense of sureness to them. These are the prayers God will answer. His will and His Kingdom will be accomplished. That’s not to say man doesn’t have free will, but in the grand scheme of things, God wins.
