In today's episode Joe and Ren briefly talk about the government furlough scheme being extended until the end of September, and briefly discuss the budget. They then go on to talk about Meghan Markle and the press hounding (12:40), and then question what impact the Royal Family has on the country today. The guys start off a quick trip down memory lane and then go on to talk about the moment of realisation when you're not as good at something as you once were...(8:14) and how age causes natural decline. At (22:00) Joe and Ren talk about how you know when you've started to fall for someone...and the guys discuss the term "body count" and its implications. Today's pod starts with condolences on both sides but the real episode starts at (6:23) with the story of the American lady who moved over to Bali and the controversy surrounding her actions. They then go on to discuss the situation regarding Clubhouse, specifically the bullying and lack of moderation that the platform suffers from (18:50) and Joe and Ren discuss the good and bad points around Clubhouse, while Joe shares his overall view on it and the problem with online bullying. The guys go back to a previous topic but go a bit further with Ren talking about Bling Empire (36:07) and opens up the floor to the conversation of finding your birth parents if you were adopted. At (46:35) the guys discuss stereotypes that may prevent men expressing themselvesin relationships and friendships and stereotypes in general, then Joe questions if love is enough to sustain a relationship (1:16:21) and Ren drops multiple gems on the topic. Closer to home, the guys talk about the incident where a young girl put out a hit on her boyfriend and the ramifications of these actions (26:52) and move on to the food parcel controversy in the UK and how best to handle it going forward (36:59) Lastly on the big topics, Joe muses on the notion of online ownership and the Whatsapp controversy that's been in the news recently (50:10) and Ren rounds off with the questions segment, including what genre a movie would be if based on their lives.
