Lori started to go into her shell and tip toe around conflict, because she couldn’t stand the heat. Shawn would feel frustrated and abandoned after Lori began to avoid him as she didn’t have the tools to communicate her feelings and her fear of conflict. After trying traditional talk therapy, they still felt like there was a missing piece. That’s when they reached out to Dr. Shanon.

After doing ministry for 26 years, Greg had a deep restlessness - he was doing all the right things, having success in his ministry, and seeing the metrics flow, but he still felt this restlessness. He took it to God, and God woke him up in the middle of the night with a vision of pure church- a church with no building. God told him to wait, and so for a year, he surrendered everything over to the Lord. A year later, church buildings ended up closed because of Covid.  The Lord told him it was time to go, time to do it. This is how The Difference - a mobile church - began.

Cory and Maria met on a blind date 26 years ago and were married 3-months later. When they came to me, Maria was in the middle of cancer treatment, raising teenage children, the pandemic, and trying to identify who she has. She didn’t feel heard in her relationship, and her and Cory just weren’t communicating. After a two-day intensive and the 6-month follow up program, they know now how to communicate as they learned to understand each other. They learned to change the stories they told themselves about the other person and learned to go in with common language and have an understanding of what’s going on and how to approach it.
