Life in the United States is getting harder and harder, especially for people on the margins. While some choose to emigrate, those who stay are tasked with figuring out how to find joy, community, and care in the United States.
Rox and Zora discuss: How can you survive and thrive in the USA while fighting to make it an easier and better place to live.
Ahead of "Will I Stay or Will I Go," part 2 of the AIC workshop series, Zora Somboonsiri-Satchell joins Rox for a one-on-one conversation on her choice to remain in the U.S.A. and how we can all live better lives.
Zora Somboonsiri-Satchell (they/she) is a Black and Chinese American queer poet and cinephile who writes about food, sex, film, family, and friendship.Their work has been published with Honey Literary, Drunk Monkeys Magazine, Stone of Madness Press and elsewhere.
They hold a degree in Ethnic Studies from Colorado State University, and when they are not writing they are performing all around NYC with Brooklyn Poets, Blasian March, KGB Bar, Priyo, Glow in the City: Unplugged and elsewhere. When she isn't writing, she is marathoning movies. You can find them in the smoke circle or on the dance floor.

Emera Dancy, co-founder of The Haus of Jupiter's Root, joins Rox in a discussion about the current political reality, how to stay informed, and what it means for the personal to be political.
On September 3rd, Emera led a workshop using the 8 dimensions of wellness to get a grasp on political realities without overwhelm.
The conversation includes joy in the midst of survival, Sharkboy and Lavagirl, and accepting community care.
