Kyle, Marty and Megan reflect on Kyle's time in New Zealand as he prepares to go back to the US. Megan geeks out using a framework for "Transition Stress" - the 5 R's by Kate Berardo (Routines, Roles, Reactions, Relationships, and Reflection). We all reflect on how we have changed during our time together in New Zealand and how grateful we are to have had this time together. (Don't worry - we are all planning on meeting up somewhere else in the world soon...TBD!)

Each one of us has our own relationship to money, which we all have to communicate as we learn how to live in a polycule. In this episode, we are very transparent about our money relationships of our past, present, and future. Do you talk about money with your partners? What is your relationship with money? It is an aim or a resource? We get REAL, real in this episode...are you ready for more vulnerability?

Conflict and power dynamics are a part of any relationship, so it’s especially important to discuss in polyamorous relationships. In this episode, we go back and forth between our personal dynamics and social dynamics. We believe that if we can each practice working through conflict in our personal relationships in a healthy way, we can bring this to society at large. We dig into conflicts and power dynamics in our polycule, and how we've been able to grow through them.

Please note - this episode is NOT about polyamory.
We believe that a collective transformation in progress, and individually we each have a personal transformation in progress. These conversations are the ones we need to have - to speak outloud with the people close to us, to look at our past with a new awareness, to own our actions or in actions, and to allow for our own learning curve from ignorance to understanding. If we hope for a collective transformation of our society, we have to start at the individual level. Black Lives Matter. Period.

Marty interviews his friend Dala, a trans woman living in Mexico, about identity, love, masks, pronouns, gender, sexuality, PTSD, vulnerability, safety, protesting, allies, self alignment, skin color, homophobia just to name a few. It is a powerful episode that is authentic and bold. Dala is a brilliant human with so much to share and teach the world. It was one of Marty's favorite episodes to record, and it ended up being very timely. The episode was recorded on May 15th, 2020 a couple of weeks before the protests in the US were met by violent police responses. When you listen to the episode it may seem like we were foreshadowing what was to come in the world.
This episode is a raw look at a distinction between identity and the masks we wear in society. Masks can be dangerous when they become mistaken for our identity, but masks are also a survival mechanism in a cruel and ignorant world. This episode is dedicated to our LGBTQ community, our allies, and to those looking to evolve their own way of being. This episode will cause you to reflect. It may challenge your beliefs. It may make you smile. It may make you cry. But, no matter what we hope that it inspires you to help shape the world as we move forward as a planet.
There is no return to normal. The new world is here. What do you want it to be like? Now is the time to be the change we wish to see in the world. We hope this conversation helps prime a deep state of understanding. I hope that it helps create a more safe world for my friend to live in her true identity without fear.
The hard truth - she's not safe.

"As you adopt a practice of minimalism around objects, it starts to bleed into other areas and dimensions of your life. Minimalism is a clearing out process, and that process applies to relationships too. You start clearing out the toxic, loud, noisy, time-consuming relationships that don't really pay off, and you start giving yourself more time. You start realizing who you have neglected and you realize that one of those people might be yourself." - Marty Bhatia on "Clearing the Noise" -
There are more connections between minimalism and polyamory than may appear at first glance - which is why we are so excited to share this conversation with you. Please let us know what you think, and if you find these connections in your life as well.

Threesomes, penis size and power...oh my!!!! Ok, we cover a lot of ground in this episode - everything from our bodies over the years, to logistics of our first few threesomes, power dynamics, our sexual histories, Megan's plastic surgery and sexual healing. Sex at the root, is really about how we relate to ourselves. So, in that way, we view the sexual component of our relationships as another learning path...a really fun one:)
In addition to this public podcast, we created a special podcast on the topic of sex for Amory Patrons, revealing more details about our own sexual journey. You can find it in the Intimate Content level of Patreon (www.patreon.com/amorypodcast) Become an Amory Patron today! http://bit.ly/2nMOAWl

So excited to start sharing conversations with our Amory Community! In this episode, Megan interviews Aurora Boyd (@evolutionaryfeminist). We dig into deep topics like how we treat and relate to other women. She shares her perspective on polyamory in a small town, how she wishes she would have brought up the topic of opening the relationship vs. how it actually happened!
Aurora has started her own podcast called "Evolutionary Feminist" - check it out!

Relationships are not static, they evolve over time naturally if we allow them to. Unfortunately, we usually don't recognize those moments as we are going through them, because they can occur to us as a breakdown or crisis of the relationship. In this episode, Megan and Kyle reflect on the pivotal moments that allowed for the evolution into a polyamorous partnership (spoiler alert: lots of gratitude for Marty!) They also naturally identified what they believe to be the crucial component of maintaining a polyamorous relationship (or any relationship, for that matter!).

We receive a lot of questions around parenting while we practice polyamory. In this episode, we answer the main questions we receive "What about the kids?" "How do you deal with judgement?" "What do you tell your kids?" and more. We also cover our thoughts on Santa Claus, Marty's 80/20 rule, and what we think the kids will need to thrive in the years to come...given this uncertain world we live in.
We answered additional questions (what if partners want kids? when did we decide to show affection? What about break-ups?) in a special document for our Patreon members, at the Exclusive Content level. Become an Amory Patron today! http://bit.ly/2nMOAWl
