Despite popular belief that Instagram is where it’s at for getting clients to book you, in fact i believe one of the most important assets in your business when it comes to converting people that are interested in you, into buying and booking your services, is your website.
Angela from Saffron Avenue is the queen of creating beautiful websites - she comes on the podcast today not only to tell you how you can create the most gorgeous websites of your very own but how to make sure they actually do their job and make you money!
I have also personally purchased (yes purchased!!) not one but TWO of Angela’s website templates and they were an absolute game changer for me. Listen to my journey recounting to Angela just how valuable learning to manage my own site for my business and why i truly think that all creatives need a platform they can control and know how to modify quickly and easily.
Not only that but Angela also shares her secrets to creating a website that has a common goal, why certain website templates will convert better than others and common mistakes beginners make when looking to purchase a site.
This is a not to be missed episode for anyone who runs a creative business in 2022. You just can’t grow as a business without a beautiful, functioning and effective website to show off your incredible talents.
Angela also has a amazing freebie to share with our listeners to help you decide which website best suits your needs - You can take her free quiz here -

Hands down the best investment i’ve made in my business has been working with coaches, mentors and online courses. I walk through some of the best and worst experiences i’ve had when it comes to investing in my education
I also wanted to compile some of my best advice and things to consider before purchasing an online course or working with a coach, there’s nothing worse than wasting time and money in investing in resources that are just not going to serve you or even worse, don’t even live up to the hype.
The other really key part of this episode is understanding what you need right now to get you to the next level in your business. There is so much information being thrown at us right now about every single thing you can do to better your business - It’s so easy to get shiny object syndrome
This is why i created by business phase quiz, it’s designed to tell you exactly where you are at in your business and give you a clear actionable roadmap to what you need to work on right now to get you to the next level.
Because each and every one of us deserves a profitable creative business to build a dream life.

I think that setting tangible achievable goals in your creative business is one of the most important elements to your success. I would even argue is it even possible to achieve monumental success without first laying out your intentions and creating the road map to get there.
One of the less commonly spoken about problems however is over estimating how much is actually achievable in a year and setting unrealistic expectations on yourself and your business that can lead to burn out and feeling like a failure, when really the only thing you failed at was setting tangible goals.
I want to share my insights in how i map out goal setting in my business and why i think it’s so important to clearly define your intentions for your life as well as your business because setting crazy achievement goals for your business might mean sacrificing some life goals in the process.

I had no doubt our episode on pitching would be a popular one! I know first hand the absolute lack of good information out there regarding how to get work with your dream clients as a creative.
I’d even go as far as to say the word “Pitching” really only started to become known when artists such as myself started talking about how they got work beyond just good brand awareness.
Quite frankly in 2021 i don’t think a brand awareness strategy is enough to secure your dream clients. Instagram is becoming overly saturated and honestly, why wait years for the work to come to you.
Naturally i had a lot of questions come up regarding pitching so i’ve answered some of the questions on today’s podcast and i think it’s really insightful to start to understand the nuances of what makes a great pitch and how to get started.
I will be creating more resources around pitching to make sure i’m imparting everything i know about the topic to get you landing your dream clients within weeks (like my coaching students have!)
