Maturity isn't about age, and being a complete person isn't about having all the right answers. To be fully mature and complete, we have to follow the example of Jesus, who fully depended on God the Father. In this episode, Mackey explains how God invites us to maturity and completion when we fully depend upon Him.
Key Takeaways: -You become mature and complete when you depend on God. -Jesus never asks us to do something that He has not already done. -The more generous you are, the bigger your world becomes.

If someone asks you to go one mile with them or for them, go two miles instead. It's easy to think: No way! That's twice the distance, after all. But leaders will go the second mile willingly and without being asked. That's because going the second mile means counting others before yourself, and that's what being a servant leader is all about. In this episode, Mackey explains the key components of being a second-miler, someone who doesn't just go one mile, but instead chooses to go two.
Key Takeaways: -Call out the best in others. -Count others before yourself. -Leaders volunteer to go the second mile.

There is a conversation going on in our country and around the world about race and inequality. There is a lot of right thinking coming to the surface amidst the turmoil, but right thinking does not change things; right action does.
In this episode, Mackey encourages us to stand up for those who can't stand up for themselves, to speak up for what is right with unrestrained boldness, and to never hesitate to step in and help someone in need.
Key Takeaways: -We don't protect things we don't think are valuable. -If it's right, call it right. And if it's wrong, call it wrong. -We want to be people that turn right thinking into right action.

The only way to finish strong is to give your best to the cause or goal straight through (not to) the finish line. You are that generation, and you have a great responsibility to your athletes, your family, and future generations to prepare the leaders in your locker rooms for the world they will face tomorrow.
Part of that preparation involves teaching tomorrow's leaders how to finish strong. In this episode, Mackey dives deep on what it means to finish strong and how to do it.
Key Takeaways: -Change the mindset from a "have to" to a "get to" mentality. -If you're going to finish strong, you cannot do it alone. -Continue giving your best, even when it costs more than you thought it would.

We are on a great adventure with our kids. Sometimes it might feel more like an endless waiting room sit at the doctor's office, but that's part of the journey. The parents primary role in their child's life is threefold: teaching right from wrong, speaking the truth in love, and reminding them that God is always near them. In this episode, Mackey encourages us to adventure with our children as guides and accomplices without trying to tackle the adventure for them.
Key Takeaways: -Every person on this Earth has a God-given purpose. -There's value in practicing patience every day. -People prefer honest criticism to false flattery.

Your health limits how far you can go in life. When you're in poor health, it limits what you can do and the impact that you can have on others. That's not to say that illness or obesity will always prevent people from reaching their dreams or influencing their community. But it is true that the healthier you are, the further and faster you can go. Health isn't about just one thing, but to get healthy you do need to take one step in the right direction every day. In this episode, Mackey dives in on the importance of doing the work to get healthy.
Key Takeaways: -The healthier you are, the further and faster you can go. -The healthier you are, the longer and better you can serve. -Take one step in the right direction every day.

Celebration is contagious. When we see someone smile or laugh, we want to smile and laugh with them. Complaining is also contagious, though. When we hear someone complain about the weather, it makes us realize it's too hot, too muggy, or too something when moments before we were enjoying a beautiful day. When we hear someone complain about a situation we're coping with well, we suddenly find it harder to cope.
The words that we use and the things that we do are contagious to others. In this episode, Mackey and Colton challenge us to think about this contagiousness and what we are infecting the people around us with. Are we infecting them with celebration or complaints?
Key Takeaways: -What we say and do is contagious. -The work you do matters. -When you celebrate others, you find even more things to celebrate.

God's grace gift is for all who believe, and all people need it. This gift has the power to transform us from the inside out. When we come to the gospel to be transformed so that we are more like Jesus, we are honoring God's grace gift. In this episode, Mackey invites you to think about how God's grace gift is calling you to live in an upside down way. How has God's grace gift changed your life?
Key Takeaways: -God's grace gift is for all who believe. -Be good friends who love deeply. -The only power you have is the power God has given you.
There will be times in our lives when we need to hit the reset button. When something keeps us from living out the purpose that God has for us, that's a reset moment. When we let anything other than God have control over us, that's a reset moment. In this episode, Mackey reminds us that God has a purpose for each of us, and sometimes, we need to hit the reset button to get back to that purpose.
Key Takeaways: -Faithful, consistent work is better than big, inconsistent changes. -God is for you, not against you. -God sees the very best in you, even when you see the worst in yourself.
