By dismissing all opponents of having the improper worldview, many evangelicals simply exempt themselves from actually having to engage real world arguments. It's a cheap debating tactic, and it has negative implications. Instead of participating and leading public discussions like our Christian forebears, these evangelicals severe themselves from the public square. We as Christians, called to be stewards of our society, should be doing the opposite: we should enter the fray and grapple with our enemies on the battlefield.
