A tie in the Heal Points is super-rare, but you know what's even MORE rare? A tie that isn't a tie. Let me explain.
That, plus the updated football rankings!
I took my kid to his first-ever football game and he did not like it, but the winner joined this week's top 10 and pulled into a 3-way tie at the top of C North.
I go over this week's rankings, then WHOU's Rob Kennedy joined me for the Week 6 overreactions. We talk about broadcasting, the growth of WHOU, do a roundup of games from around the state, and Rob reveals the best mozzarella sticks in the state.
Plus, a correction from last week's episode.
Most people expected TA to rise to the top spot in the Power Rankings and there they are after a thrilling win over Noble. The rest of the top 10 has a couple of surprises, including an 8 man school and a team that's got a negative scoring differential.
Then, Tyler Krusz joins me to overreact to week 5, take a peek at week 6, and do a quick preview of some teams that we expect to impress during basketball season.
We're at the halfway point of the season and the rankings are starting to take shape. Then, Marc Calnan of Eastern Maine Sports joins me to overreact to week 4. We talk about Stearns' stunning win over Orono, Falmouth's win over Fryeburg, Bangor/Lawrence, Leavitt/Cony, Dexter's blowout of Valley, and so much more.
One of the early surprises of the football season has been Falmouth. After a season in which they had to forfeit a game to Portland and players petitioned for a coaching change, the Navigators brought in new coach Spencer Emerson and they're off to a 3-0 start, with a huge win over Cony and the stingiest scoring defense in the state.
I sat down with Emerson to talk about the challenges of re-building a program from such a precarious starting point, getting players to buy in, learning from other coaches, and a ton more.
Plus, my kid crashes the video, making his podcast debut.
There's movement in the rankings this week and Falmouth has nearly worked their way into the top 10 after their impressive win over Cony. Then, WHOU's Ethan Snow joins me to overreact to Week 3. We talk about Deering, OOB, Orono, Leavitt, TA, and so much more.
Week 2 is in the books so it's time to overreact to what we've seen so far. I'm joined this year by one of the hardest working guys in Maine, Jarod Richmond. One of the many things Jarod does is color for WHOU's football broadcasts all fall. We talk about that, the Patriots, and a bunch of games from all over the state. Plus, of course, basketball.
Week 1 of football season is in the books and it was awesome. The Patriots won!!! Notre Dame lost!!! Leavitt got shut out?!?! OOB scored HOW MANY? Adam Robinson joins me to overreact to all of the weekend's games.
Plus! Autism Awareness in football. The Battle of the Witches. And so much more.

Football season is nearly here, so I had the man behind the exhaustive resource MaineHighSchoolFootball.com on to preview the season.
We talk about the coming season, the rise (and fall?) of 8-man football, Leavitt's dominance, the contenders in each region, which football coach could run for VP, and so much more.

Back from a short summer hiatus and Southern Maine Sting and CMCC's Steve Carey joins me to talk about the value of AAU, finding a program that isn't out to exploit your kid, and how AAU has changed over the years.
Plus, how can a parent get their kid crossed off a college's list of recruiting targets? What a program like CMCC is looking for and so much more.
