Welcome to the very first episode of the Make Books Travel podcast. I'd been playing with the idea of starting a podcast for a while. Then COVID-19 happened. I had to cut a 5-week business trip to Europe short after only 1 week of meetings, and returned to California.
Fast forward a few weeks, and the world is a different place. Almost the entire international publishing world has had to adapt to working from home, whereas 2 Seas Agency has had a remote set-up practically since we started out. During the many virtual meetings I have had these past weeks to make up for the hundreds of in-person meetings I was supposed to have at the London Book Fair and elsewhere in Europe, I've been asked more than once if I had any tips to share.
These questions led to our first podcast episode, entitled The Virtual Literary Agency. During this episode I get together with Senior Agent Chrys Armefti to discuss how 2 Seas Agency maintains business as usual, and continues to make books travel during these challenging times.
