On this episode, I get the pleasure of interviewing Josh Spradlin. He has over 20 years of experience in the Civil & Environmental Engineering field. Since 2001 he has compiled an extremely comprehensive background in structural design and inspections, land development, and water/wastewater engineering. He and his wife Myka started a residential general construction company from scratch in 2007 and grew it from nothing to a multi-million-dollar company in just 3 years. He has real-world application in not only what customers face when going through a construction project, but the difficult tasks of maintaining a budget. He has 15 years of true, ‘start from scratch’ business leadership, consulting services, and construction at the helm of Alliance Engineering & Consulting, LLC.

If you meet Josh in person, it takes all of about 30 seconds to recognize the type of human he is and the passion with which he lives his life. I'm grateful to know him and blessed to call him a friend.

In this episode, I talk with Renée Lautermilch, a highly accomplished learning and development leader with over 20 years of experience in various industries, including healthcare, fitness, and hospitality. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Human Resources, then pursued an MBA, and MEd.

They say life is what happens when you're busy making other plans, and that was exactly the case for Eddie Mazzu.

Growing up in blue-collar Buffalo, NY, Eddie had examples of hard work all around him. That's simply the area's culture, but unfortunately, it doesn't always equate to a desired life. After 10 years as an ironworker, performing hard manual labor day in and day out, Eddie was injured on the job. This injury would prove to be one of the most challenging times of his life, but the catalyst that was needed to make a major change.

Quickly realizing that he had to be his own biggest advocate to get the care he needed, he turned his passion of hard work and helping others into a second career as a lawyer! (Who does that??) 

In this episode, we discuss that career shift, what it was like going back to school at a later age, what hard work and leadership mean to him, and how he has been able to craft a life for himself, his beautiful wife, and his awesome kids that they all love.
