This week we sat down with JD from Polymeres Technologies (the team behind the outstanding Chill Epoxy line). JD is extremely knowledgeable on what goes into epoxy resins, and how they work. He talked about some good ideas as well as things to avoid when using any epoxy (this included heating it up to make it flow better, as well as using a blow torch). We also talked about how he tests out every batch, and what they do to make sure projects are going to come out the best they can. They are also creating a website to feature educational videos, tips and tricks, as well as general epoxy related information.

This short take has us taking a look at Cast Iron pans. Any chef or baker will tell you that cast iron pans are great, but to the budding chef or home cook they can be a bit of a mystery and sometimes scary to use. They are a great tool in the kitchen, but it seems there is a lot of contradictory information out there and people tend to avoid using cast iron cookware. On this episode I dive into the three basics of cast iron: Seasoning, cleaning, and cooking. There is also a bonus recipe to try once you get your cast iron pan out of storage and ready to use!

On this episode of The Maker's Voice we are sitting down with Martina Warwick from Boudoir by Martina Warwick. Martina is a premiere boudoir photographer operating out of Bowmanville, Ontario. We talk about how she got started, what drives her, and how she makes her clients happy. We also get into talking about both physical and mental well being, and discuss ways that you can maintain a positive mental image of yourself. This was a great episode to record, and the positive advice Martina gave will be helpful to a lot of people.

Hello Everyone! Us here at The Maker's Voice, we have been doing some thinking. It makes the most sense for use to actually hold off on releasing new content and launch Season 2 in late October or Early November.Thank you for joining us so far. We couldn't do this without you!

No new episode this week. We've been really busy with some other projects and haven't had a chance to get anything edited. We are working on rebuilding our back catalogue so that if this happens again, there will be an episode or two ready to go.

Today we are sitting down with William Roman from Rosewood Estates Winery and Meadery. Not only is William a Beekeeper, he is also the General Manager of the Winery. Bees have been in his family for generations, and are an integral part of his everyday life. On this episode, William talks about what brought him to the wine business, how he realized he needed to change careers, and what to do when things don't go exactly as planned. William also gives some great tips for the aspiring Beekeeper, as well as shares what we can do in our own gardens to help bees out.
