Manitoba, Winnipeg, the Jets, just everyone is mourning Ducky ~ Dale Hawerchuk was the superstar of the 80's who came to the Jets as a rookie and left as a fan favourite. His legacy in the province remains a pillar of honesty, kindness and competitiveness. His career resides in the shadow of Gretzky, the '89 Flames and being traded after 9 seasons in the 'peg. But a class guy, Dale went to the hall of fame, became a stellar coach and ambassador of the game and was beloved by his colleagues, friends and family to the end. Love of the game and living his best life was what was important to him and we would all do well to follow his lead and life life as he would. Here's to you Ducky!
