In today's episode I break down "shadow work." I didn't even know what that meant a few months ago, but once I dug in and did the work, it has transformed my life.
Our shadows are the person we would rather not be. The aspects of ourselves that keep us from fulfilling our dreams. These are the qualities we try to hide and ignore, but when we do, they subconsciously reveal themselves in the people around us, through what is known as projection.
This is a deep episode so make sure you give it a listen to learn more about what shadows are and how you can be free of them by integrating them into your being.
Here are the two exercises I mentioned in the episode:
#1. Make a list of all the aspects of yourself that you do not like. Then find the gift and positive value in each aspect.
#2. Whenever you get upset, write down the quality in the other person that is most upsetting to you. This is a great way to see what your personal shadows are.
