In this podcast, Mike Waters discusses his past mistakes and what led him to be a business owner today. His first love was football and that is all he wanted to do. He had a couple of scholarship offers to play college football but was unable to because of his grades. He was devastated he couldn't play the sport he loved since he was a child. Luckily it sparked the idea to start his own business to help young athletes. Through his 17 years of experience, he has helped hundreds of young athletes and professional athletes. Today he has 3 gym locations and a non-profit organization.

Growing up in Birmingham, England Waqqas knew he wanted to pursue a career in hair. But it wasn't the ideal career path for a young man at that time. He decided to attend drama school. He quickly realized it was not the career path for him and he dropped out.  He attended college(Beauty College) where he completed his education. After completing his college education, he wanted to work for a high-end company. Waqqas went through an intense 6-week course with Tony & Guy and was eventually offered a job. After years behind the chair,  Waqqas transitioned and became an educator. As a master wig maker, he offers courses and classes on his website!

In this podcast, Charryse shares her story and what lead her to hair. She began doing hair at a young age for her neighbors and friends. Her first formal education in hair began in the cosmetology program at her high school. Then after she graduated, Charryse enrolled in beauty school and completed 1,500 hours. After 7 years, Charryse still had the desire to learn more and perfect her craft. So she attended Aveda Institute and completed 3,000 hours! The experience and knowledge Charryse gained in the beauty industry is why she is now a successful business owner. For 7 years she has owned and operated Lala Lashes located in Charlotte, NC.

From cancer survivor to wig maker...Sandra's story is so inspiring! Finding out she had multiple myeloma and losing her hair led her to seek an alternative. Finding a natural, realistic, quality wig was something she couldn't find in stores. So she decided that she wanted to make her own! She has been a braider for 20 years so the hair industry is nothing new to her.  Her passion to learn and educate herself led her to lace wigs. Sandra worked her full-time job, while completing 2 graduate degrees, and drove herself to chemotherapy every other week. If her story doesn't inspire you, I don't know what will?
