In this episode, a parent carer shares her deeply personal journey into special needs parenting after her child experienced a sudden epileptic fit at age seven, despite no prior developmental concerns.
What followed were frequent seizures, long hospital stays, and a diagnosis of complex epilepsy that affected every developmental milestone, leading to global developmental delay.
She speaks honestly about the years of denial, the toll on her mental health, and the long road to acceptance. Now an advocate for children with disabilities and their families, she offers hope, understanding, and reassurance to parents navigating similar paths.
This conversation serves as a reminder that you are not alone—and that support, healing, and purpose are possible, even when life changes unexpectedly.

Friendships should provide a sense of safety and not be draining, confusing, or emotionally exhausting.
In Episode 9, we discuss the challenges of friendship and what it truly means to confront toxic relationships. We examine subtle red flags and unspoken resentment, uncovering why some friendships can gradually become unhealthy—and why it often feels harder to walk away than to stay.
We explore themes such as outgrowing friends, setting boundaries without feeling guilty, and choosing your own peace when loyalty feels like a trap.
If you've ever questioned yourself after a conversation with a friend or felt hesitant to be honest, this episode will resonate with you.
🎙️ In this episode, we cover:
- Signs of a toxic friendship
- Why letting go of friends feels so difficult
- How to set boundaries without guilt
- When it’s time to walk away
- Healing after outgrowing friendships
This conversation is for anyone navigating adult friendships, emotional manipulation, or people-pleasing tendencies. You’re allowed to choose peace—even when it feels uncomfortable.

When my child was first diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, I felt everything at once — fear, confusion, determination, and a longing to understand what our new world would look like.
If you’re listening and walking this road too… I see you. 💙
In this emotional and hope-filled episode of The Marvellous-U Podcast, I open up about the early days of diagnosis — the overwhelm, the appointments, the grief, the guilt, the isolation — and the truth that so many parents experience but rarely say out loud.
I share the things I wish I knew at the beginning of our journey:
✨ You are not alone — there is a community for you.
✨ You are enough — you don’t need all the answers on day one.
✨ Celebrate every milestone, no matter how small.
✨ Advocacy matters — your voice is powerful.
✨ Self-care isn’t selfish — it keeps you going.
This episode is a reminder that there is beauty in redefining “normal,” in finding unexpected joy, and in learning from your child’s strength, resilience, and love.
You are doing better than you think. Your love is enough. Your presence is powerful.
If you want to go deeper, my book Raising a Glass Baby offers more support from one parent to another.
🌸 I’d love to hear your story too — connect with me on social media so we can lift each other up.
And remember: whatever stage you’re in, just breathe, love, and know that you and your child are both marvellous. 💖

In this heartfelt episode of The Marvellous-U Podcast, we discuss something that many women and carers experience but rarely express — losing sight of who you are while caring for everyone else.
I share a personal moment from my own journey — when I was juggling caregiving and motherhood — and realised I had become so focused on doing that I had forgotten simply being myself.
We’ll explore how life transitions, such as motherhood and caregiving, can blur our sense of identity, drawing on Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development, which remind us that identity is not fixed — it evolves as we progress through different life stages. ✨
In this episode, you’ll learn:
• Why it’s normal to question who you are after major life changes
• Common struggles like guilt, invisibility, and self-comparison
• 5 powerful ways to reconnect with your true self — from journaling and rekindling passions, to reframing your story and celebrating rediscovery.
I’ll also share how reconnecting with my purpose through writing, studying, and entrepreneurship helped me rebuild my identity and rediscover myself.
Because when you find purpose, you find yourself. 🌸 💌
This week, I invite you to write a letter to your future self — a reminder that your roles may shape you, but they don’t define your worth. You are marvellously becoming — and that’s enough. 💖
