Last year's in the midst of the pandemic I had the pleasure to interview Bernadette Chapman, the founder of AWP in the UK, the association of wedding planners. It was originally made for our members inside our membership program and we are making it available for the first time for the wider community to listen to.
Before we get started.
As many of you know we have been coaching wedding photographers inside our program TPC for the last 15 months or so. There have been some great success stories from the students we have worked with and we have really enjoyed helping wedding photographers, like all you listeners, to grow your businesses.
We realised that the course format could be more beneficial to photographers if we went back to doing 1-1 mentoring. So many of you are at different stages of growth that we believe we can help more of you by focusing on your specific needs.
It can be isolating and lonely running a photography business and knowing how all the pieces fit together incredibly hard when we work alone with no one to give us perspective on where and how to focus the limited time we have to build the business we want.
If you are struggling to get the bookings you need to be profitable, feeling frustrated with your portfolio and struggling to define your style or are struggling with the fears that most creatives struggle with about not being good enough to make it a career or
Putting a value on the important work we do, we want to hear from you.
Head to the show notes and let us know what you most want help with within your business and you can set up a free strategy call to tell us about where you are in your business and see if our experience is a good fit to help get you there.
The course we currently have - how to get consistent bookings each month, without expensive wedding fairs and listings, is still available, but not as part of working with us 1-1, to ensure you get the results you need and want to make your business a success.
Ok, let’s head over to the chat I had with Bernadette back in 2020 and I’ll see you all next week for another episode.

Did you know that over 90% of what we say is non-verbal? How we communicate with our couples matters greatly to building trust with them.
In this episode, we talk about why some photographers seem to have a magnetic quality that attracts the best clients and how we can improve our communication by looking more closely at three specific non-verbal communication techniques when we meet our couples or talk to them over video call.

IOS 14 has changed the game in many ways for everyone using traditional online tools like Facebook and Instagram Ads, Google Search and analytics or Pinterest. This is partly due to privacy and making it harder to track people when they visit your website. Facebook does have the ability to collect entries for us on their platform and this potentially helps us to mitigate the IOS14 changes and reduce the amount of steps people need to take when seeing our ads to get in touch with us.
Today, I will talk about Facebook's Lead Generation Ads and how we can use them as wedding photographers to capture more inquiries in our business when using paid traffic.

Julian Wainwright is a wedding photographer but he learnt his craft as a press photo journalist and has covered some remarkable events including the Beijing Olympics.
His work is very distinctive and he's a wonderful teacher and person to spend time with. I personally went to his workshop in Vietnam and it was fantastic.
This episode is from the archives as it was recorded for my members of The Photographers Collective in the middle of the pandemic.
Whilst things are looking brighter now the photography experience he shares is just as relevant today as it was when I spoke to him in September 2020. Check out his work at www.julianwainwrightweddings.com and his commercial and photo journalism you can find here: www.wainwrightphotographics.com

Social media is supposed to be. well, social! In this information age, we can be overloaded by content and content marketing strategies. That is why we created a personality quiz for brides to cut through the noise, and the results have been incredible.
Today, I talk to you about how we use it in our business to generate bookings and move our couples into direct communication with us that ultimately leads to bookings and revenue.

Looking after ourselves when we are busy serving our couples and running our business can be low on the priority list. It shouldn't be, as producing our best work and giving our couples the ultimate experience is very much intertwined with our internal state, levels of stress and ability to communicate the way we want to.
In this episode, I discuss self care and some of things I do in my daily routine to manage stress and thrive creatively during busy times.
