Graylon Sanders joined me on the podcast this morning. He is a former collegiate national champion, strength coach and founder of Priime Fitness. Graylon started turning crisis into opportunity when the stay at home order was put in place in March. When most people took days off, Graylon kept going. Graylon showed up for his family and his clients when uncertainty was at it's highest. Instead of waiting for things to happen, Graylon made them happen.
Graylon started offering his online fitness classes back in April of 2020 and has now transformed this into an incredible online business. You can check out his live & on demand classes at Priimefitness.com and receive a free class when you mention The Elevated Movement Podcast. Connect with Graylon online @Graylonsanders and book online at Priimefitness.comÂ
My friend Tim Harris came on the show to talk about the racial injustices taking place in America. We wanted to create this episode to shed some light and awareness on what is really going on in The United States.Â
Tim shares some examples of what he's experienced living in America and gives some valuable insights on what we can do to create change. If you are interested in following Tim on line you can find him @mylife.tim & @rooftop.coÂ
Win the morning - Win the day! I am a firm believer in consistency and making your life as easy as possible for you. Having a consistent morning routine takes all the guess work out of it. I start my morning by doing these eight simple steps. Reminder that you can create a morning routine that works for you and you dont have to do exactly what I do. Also, dont check your phone until after you have completed your routine. Reach out to me on instagram @elevatedmvmt and let me know your morning routines!
1. My alarm clock goes off at 6 am and I put my foot on the ground. I dont check my phone and go downstairs and into the kitchen.
2. I drink 1 glass of ice cold water to get my body started & hydrated
3. I brush my teeth with Toms Spearmint toothpaste to refresh & wake me up
4. I journal for 15 - 20 minutes every morning. I call this journal dumping where I dont write anything in particular but just get my thoughts out and onto the paper. It really helps clear my mind and creates some space for me to think clearly.
5. I meditate for 20 minutees every morning. I persoanlly just sit in silence and focus on my breathing & relaxing my body. There are great apps like Headspace, Insight Time & @Laurasiamattingly "Sit Society" that you can use to help walk you through a meditation practice if you are new to meditating.
6. I read 20 minutes of a self-help/personal development book every morning. I like start my morning off by learning something new and educating myself.
7. I workout for 45 minutes. I usually would drive to the gym but now that all gyms are closed I have to get creative. I will run, bike, do a HIIT workout or even do yoga. I just like to get my blood flowing for 45 minutes in the morning to start my day.
8. I come home and take an ice cold shower. This increases circulation, wakes me up and helps boost my immune system. You dont have to take the entire shower on cold but start implementing 30 seconds of cold water to start your day!

March 22nd, 2019 was the hardest day of my life. I wanted to record this episode to detail what it was like the day that I found out my dad passed away. Losing a parent is such a monumental loss that no one can prepare you for.Â
My dad was a role model to me and i''m so grateful for the 24 years we spent together. He provided for my family and made sure we never went a day without. After college, we really started to build a solid relationship and friendship. He was my go-to person and we would talk every single night on the phone. He was always there for me and answered every single call.Â
I spoke with him the night before he passed and everything seemed normal. We were laughing, joking and talking about all the great opportunities that were unfolding in my life. Â I had no idea this was going to be the last time I ever spoke to him. As the conversation came to an end and before we hung up I told my dad that I loved him and he told me, Â "I love you son and am so proud of you." These were the last words that I ever heard my dad say. I find peace knowing that he loved me & that I was making him proud.Â
Dad, I hope I am still making you proud and that you're looking down on me smiling. I miss you every single day and will always cherish the good times we had together. Rip Pops - I love you
I had the pleasure to interview Buck Palmer this past week while I traveled to Sedona. Buck is an inspiration & role model of mine and i'm so grateful that he came on the show.
After a Decade of success in the entertainment industry, Buck found himself uninspired and lacking creative drive. Whilst he was living what some would call 'the dream life', his intuition was telling him otherwise and he knew that he could no longer ignore this nudge from within, craving the passion in life in which escaped him, he yearned for something more meaningful.
After retreating in what he calls his "hibernation-period" and much soul searching, Buck had an experience of revelation while traveling in one of the most serene and spiritual places on the planet; Tulum, Mexico. He decided, or better it was decided upon him to become a Teacher of the meditation technique that had changed his life 7yrs prior (and still practices today). With that, he moved to the Himalayas to learn, grow and gain the wisdom of this ancient practice from its source in order to share it with others, leaving behind his beloved and homely comforts for what felt like a lifetime. "It was one of the most challenging yet equally fulfilling and enriching experiences I've had"...Little did he know, fast forward 2-3yrs, It was this Meditation teaching that would align him with a jewelry designer from Los Angeles, a conversation was born during the course about collaborating on a collection...and the rest, as they say, is history.
The Buck Palmer brand is synonymous with Adventure, stepping into the unknown and enjoying experiences that no money or logical plan could ever deliver. This Journey and every step along the way helped to create these pieces you now see, an expression of the maverick lifestyle in which will never be bound.
You can check out Bucks amazing jewelry at Buckpalmer.com and can follow him online @buckpalmer
